My cat is getting elderly and started peeing on the rug, so it was time to take action. Someone lent us an enclosed litter tray, but with no flap. My cat used it, but when she covered her poo, she would kick the litter so high, that it came straight out of the tray and all over the floor. Quite impressive actually for an old cat, but not particularly what you want to see. We then bought one with a flap to avoid this, but, despite her using a cat flap, she refused to use this litter tray, and started weeing on rugs again. I hunted around the local pet stores for something with higher sides, but found nothing, and then saw this one on Amazon. Feeling like it was my last hope I bought it with trepidation.I was a bit worried that it might be a bit high for her to get into, but she easily steps into it. She took to it first time, and unless she is having a vigorous kicking day, she can’t get the litter over the edge. It a nice size for a cat, and easy to access and clean too. It is also sturdy and easy to assemble. I’m lucky that my cat doesn’t do stinky poos, because that’s the only downside about this litter tray, as it’s open, so any smells can waft around the room. I think it’s brilliant and has solved my problem.
