Smart Plug, SKYROKU 701UII Wi-Fi Plug No Hub Required Control Your Devices from Anywhere, Works with Amazon Alexa Echo (2 Pack)

I bought a couple of these (Skyroku Smart Plugs) to test with the Amazon Echo Dot and Google Home. They work great with both. You don't need the Amazon Echo or the Google Home to use these switches. If you just want to control them from your Android smart phone or iPhone you can use either the Jinvoo Smart app or the Smart Life app. If you are going to use it ONLY with the Amazon Echo, download the Jinvoo Smart app. If you are going to use it with the Google Home, download the Smart Life app. The Jinvoo Smart app does not work with the Google Home, you have to use the Smart Life app. The Smart Life app works with both the Amazon Echo AND the Google Home at the same time so you can control the switch from both devices at the same time. If you want to hide the switch from the Google Home but use the switch from the Amazon Echo, set it up using only the Jinvoo Smart app. Any switch setup using the Smart Life app will be accessible to BOTH Amazon Echo and Google Home. Setting them up was about as simple as you can get, it took only a couple of minutes to have them up and running. They work so well I bought 12 more of them and I plan to buy more of them soon. I wasn't paid, reimbursed or given any products or deals for this review. I rarely write product reviews but these switches really deserve it.

So far so good. No problems setting up BUT I didn't use the app it suggested. I used an app named "Smart Life" by Tuya after a few reviewers mentioned issues with the recommended app. Works great with all my Amazon Echo devices too.

You can't use this unless you download an app that requires you grant it permission to all your camera, contacts, phone calls and more. WTF?!?

Set up is a bit clunky, but once you get one installed, the next one is easy breezy. I'm not a fan at how large these are (on a power strip it took up three of the spaces) and how much room you will need, but they do the trick. The app that it uses is pretty simple and while it doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, I like that in the end, it works.I bought these to pair with my new echo and I'm in total geek out mode today. Pairing this my Amazon Echo after setting up in their app was super easy and I like the fact I can group all the lights in the room so I can simply say, "Alexa, turn off the office lights." I was impressed at how well it works and how easy it was to make happen.To recap - the only reason it gets four stars is because of the size and the fact I have to download and set up their app before I can use it with Alexa. In terms of doing what it says it would do, it delivers and the instructions to set up are straight forward. They were also probably a really good value compared to big box price points for similar offerings.Bonus, no hub required.

Love these! I run an outdoor lighting company and have been replacing older timing systems with new wireless systems so customers can turn off and on all lights whenever and wherever they please. After installing it was a very easy set up process. Download the app and follow the steps and then boom your done! I want to order more for my house so I can control everything from the tips of my fingers.

Package of two, one worked for five minutes then stop working the 2nd one did not work at all, I was able to connect it with the wifi with no problems, when I try to turn the lights on i can hear the click but nothing happens.

Strongly discourage you from purchasing these WiFi plugs at this time. The companion app requires many unnecessary and invasive permissions. The hardware itself may work just fine (I didn't even get that far). I wish I had known this prior to purchase. These will be returned.

This is great. You have to load the Jinvoo app.and finding it wasn't easy. Not for iPAd IOS but on Google Paly for android.. Once loaded, my Amazon Dot found the plugs immediately and Alexa took care of the rest. Great fun and works perfectly. I wish I had more devices to make "smart" so I could buy some more.
