I always have Otterbox-like cases on my devices because I’m rough with them and I’m clumsy at times. I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to find a rugged band that fits my huge wrists. This one does, and I still have 3 holes left on the band. So if you have a big wrist, this is the one for you. If your wrist is small, you might need to cut the band down some, but that should be easy to do with a new razor blade. Second, the edge of the band comes above the plane of the screen, so you won’t bang your watch face on a flat surface (still gotta be careful about pointed hazards, though). The crown is exposed, and it moves just fine. The buttons are covered and they work great even in the case. There’s holes for the speaker and mic, but they have some form of mesh on the larger one, so no worries there. It’s comfortable and it looks cool. Looks rugged, but not overtly bulky. It’s easy to clean even when it gets grimy, I use water, a toothbrush, and 91% rubbing alcohol for the tough grime. The brush gets in all the nooks and crannies. Okay now to the reason I decided to come back and do this review a year later. This thing is STILL going strong. No tears, a few scuffs on the metal band loop, but that’s to be expected. I’ve worked on my car engine with this on, I’ve mowed yards, I’ve done a shower remodel, I’ve done everything. Haven’t broken the watch (or the band) yet. I’m considering buying a new band in maybe the orange or green just to have something that looks nice for the occasional style flair.
