Spec says 25.2dba noise level. (I have a 1621+ rated at 25.2dba sitting two feet from me and it is whisper quiet). When I started the RP1221+ it was way, way louder than 25.2dba. I checked the settings and it was on Cool Mode (medium speed). To test it I switched it to Full Speed Mode and the fans went to max speed and sounded like a small wind storm (which is expected). I switched it back to Cool Mode and the fan noise dropped noticeably but still way noisier than 25dba. I switched it to Quiet Mode (slowest fan speed) but the fan speed did not change. I switched back and forth between Cool Mode and Quiet Mode but it always stayed the same. I only had one single SSD drive installed. The room temp was cool at about 68F. This is too noisy for me and I will have to return this and get another 1621+. Hope this helps. **Q: Is this 10GB?** A: If you are asking about 10GbE (10Gb Ethernet) support, no by default.
