Crafted from corrosion-resistant PVC, it withstands harsh chemicals and meets ASTM and NSF certifications, ensuring durability and safety for potable water applications. Ideal for professionals demanding reliable, high-performance plumbing solutions. ## Description The Spears 1407 series tube fitting is made of gray polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic and has a 90-degree elbow shape for connecting schedule 40 polyethelene (PE) pipe to threaded pipe conforming to the National Pipe Thread (NPT) standard at an angle. This elbow has a barbed fitting on one end to create a tight seal on flexible PE pipe when used with a hose clamp (sold separately), and a female NPT connector on the other end connects to threaded pipe. PVC is corrosion resistant, and has high strength. It resists reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. The fitting meets D 2609 standards set by ASTM International for plastic insert fittings for use with PE pipe, as well as ASTM schedule 40 standards for wall thickness to support working pressure to 140 psi. It is certified by NSF International for use with potable water. Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness). Spears Manufacturing produces thermoplastic fittings and valves for fluid, drain, waste, and vent systems. The company, founded in 1969 and headquartered in Sylmar, CA, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001. ## Features - 90-degree elbow for connecting pipe to threaded pipe at an angle - Fitting connects to schedule 40 PE pipe on one end and has an NPT female connector on the other - PVC for strength and resistance to reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons - Barbed fitting creates a tight seal on flexible pipe when used with a hose clamp (sold separately) - Meets ASTM D 2609 standards for plastic insert fittings and certified by NSF for use with potable water ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B009F3ML8C | | Best Sellers Rank | #24,683 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #565 in Pipe Fittings | | Brand Name | Spears Manufacturing | | Color | Gray | | Connector Type | Barbed X Npt Female | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (318) | | Exterior Finish | PVC | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00054211106006 | | Item Dimensions | 1 x 3 x 2 inches | | Item Weight | 1.76 ounces | | Manufacturer | Spears Manufacturing | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1407-010 | | Material Type | Polyvinyl Chloride | | Model Number | 1407-010 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Size | 1 Inch | | Thread Size | 1 inch | | Thread Type | NPT | | UPC | 054211106006 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Spears Manufacturing - **Color:** Gray - **Connector Type:** Barbed X Npt Female - **Exterior Finish:** PVC - **Item Weight:** 1.76 ounces - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 1 x 3 x 2 inches - **Material:** Polyvinyl Chloride - **Size:** 1 Inch - **Thread Size:** 1 inch - **Thread Type:** NPT ## Images ![Spears 1407 Series PVC Tube Fitting, 90 Degree Elbow, Schedule 40, Gray, 1" Barbed x NPT Female - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81iFaFxMhZL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/4143919-spears-1407-series-pvc-tube-fitting-90-degree-elbow-schedule](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/4143919-spears-1407-series-pvc-tube-fitting-90-degree-elbow-schedule) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
