These aren't just vanity or novelty brushes, they are really great brushes for actual use.By the way, this set was absolutely worth it. I use the bonus brush all the time, and you aren't going to find ANY brush of this type where the ferrule isn't going to come unglued. Pretty much every makeup brush in this price point, unicorn or no, is going to have an issue where the brush comes out at the ferrule and that's just because they are lower end and the water from washing and use loosens the small amount of glue. That's not at all enough to down rate them and really should be expected. I mean, what exactly do people expect getting this many brushes for the price?! TIP: It's easy. Simply glue back on with hot glue or any strong glue and they will usually stay together from then on. It's such a simple fix, not really "broken," and I've had more expensive brushes do the same. Just glue it on and get on with it. I say these are still totally worth it for what you get and I've glued many a ferrule back on all kinds of brushes.This is the only set I've found that are everything they say they are. Problem is, I hate to use them because they are so gorgeous! But the eye brushes are excellent and the two kabuki brushes are exactly the density, brush size, handle length I've looked for a long time. I'm grateful for the oval foundation brush. I've been wanting to try one and I really like it. Nice finish. It's just a win. There are tons of sets like these and some real duds, so I went in with realistic expectations. I love them.
