Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop

So here's my honest opinion:Let's start with some cons. So I've had my Mac for about 2 months now and it works pretty well. My 2 main concerns, however, is how hot the laptop gets, and the track pad. I will use my Mac for about 20 minutes, and I cannot keep it on my lap. The bottom of the Mac is so hot that I'll put it on top of a pillow so it doesn't burn whatever is around it. Next, the track pad. So when I go to click on something, it takes about 10 clicks (more or less) to detect what I want to click on. It can get pretty frustrating when i want to simply exit out on a tab or click on a video.Now for the pros:Despite theses negative traits, there are things I can appreciate such as turning it on. On my last laptop, it took a solid 2 minutes to just turn on and boot up to my lock screen. On this Mac, however, it takes me about 15 seconds tops. That is especially helpful when I need to jump on the computer for a few minutes for something small. Another solid pro is that it is very light. I took my Mac on a flight not too long ago and it was very easy to take with me and store away when not being used. A small detail that doesn't really matter, but is a nice touch is the design. I've always liked how macbooks looked, so to finally own one is very exciting.To wrap up:If you are on the younger side (high school or college) I would recommend this for entertainment purposes or homework purposes. However, if you are looking for a laptop for more professional reasons (a job or needed for work) then save up! Because a new fresh out of the apple store is a wiser choice.

The computer came fast considering I chose 1 day shipping. There was a small dent near the trackpad and some minor scratches on the case but considering this computer is 8 years old I expected that for the price. Came in a huge box and with a brand new charger. Was slow at first but sped up the more I used it. Just minor issues that I can most definitely look past.Computer also heated up really easily.

Got it from the seller apple r us. came better than expected and I'm currently using it for work. Upgraded the Ram to 8 gm to multitask better and maybe an SSD later for some extra speed. Plan on keeping it another 5 years if all goes well. came with os el Capitan. If you see Apple R Us they won't let you down!

I love love love my computer! The shipping was as stated, which wasn’t a long time. It came in just about perfect condition. There where a fee small scratches on the outside but nothing too noticeable. I am a nursing school student and was tired of my huge toshiba laptop. I couldn’t afford the original 1200 dollar cost. This is a great buy guys you have my word!

Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. The product came with very few scratches and when covered with a case, you would not be able to tell it is a used computer. I was however disappointed by the fact that the operating system that was installed on the computer was more outdated than was stated in the product description. I had to pay extra to get the operating system updated. All things considered, the cost of updating the computer was much less compared to buying a newer model, but I do wish that the correct operating system was listed in the description of this product.

This is actually my fist MacBook pro, am pleased with the purchase with upgrades to memory 4 gig and 500 gig hard drive. Can't complain about normal wear and tear, it still looks good. I don't like it being all silver, I will invest in a cover.Update: So i have had this a little over a month, the caps key needs to be pressed firmly (minor), again very minor scratch and dent, and the screen in great shape. I have upgraded the memory to 8gb and finally dressed my mac up, see pics. I have a HP lap top that is starting to get slow, so now it is my secondary lap top.

I was worried about the small screen and high price, but this was so worth it. The retina screen is way clearer and awesomely easier to read than my 15" Toshiba screen. It weighs a third as much. It's much faster. I now have iPad for travel (in a keyboard case), Toshiba bedside, and Apple going room to room at my office. All are on Cloud backup, and using the different systems hasn't been a problem.

I bought this with some hesitation, but luckily it is completely functional. It came with about 50% battery and a working charger. There is a small scratch on the outside, but that was to be expected and I don’t mind it. The only thing is that it is an old system and cannot be updated to the most recent OS, but I plan on only using this for Microsoft Office and other college student necessities. A previous review stated that the right click on the trackpad doesn’t work, but for me, the setting was just turned off. I went in and easily changed it to allow right click!

Screen went white after a couple of minutes. It was replaced with newer model and upgraded to SSD. But Mac would turn on when cold. Apple tech says needs new logic board and missing screws when SSD was upgraded.

This is the first time I have used an Apple computer so I decided to buy a used one first to see how I like it. After using it for a few days I come to realize that the Apple is the best laptop out there, I also like the fact that you get no viruses with an Apple computer. There is only one issue I had with this, the remarks for the laptop said it was in VERY GOOD condition, in terms of working I would say that it is in very good condition, but the physical condition of the laptop I would rate as FAIR. The reason for the 4 stars is due to the scratches and dings on the outside as well as the screen itself which has numerous scratches on it, this I will have to get replaced.

I ordered a MacBook Pro 13 inch model but received a 15 inch one. I don’t like this, I want a 13 inch laptop and a scratch free one.
