Excellent budget Fat tire mountain bike
This is actually an excellent budget fat tire mountain bike for the money. The last time I rode a mountain bike was in 1992 when I was an avid rider before my mountain bike got stolen and regular maintenance was a must and repairs when necessary. So for me the assembly was ridiculously easy, however I must stress that just like any bike shop that gets similar shipments that come in the same way I received this mountain bike in a box YOU MUST go thru and make sure that all nuts and bolts are tight otherwise like some of the negative reviews you will run into minor issues. After assembly I went through and made sure that all of the nuts and bolts are tight and torqued as needed, the brakes are the same way some adjustment at the handlebars or calipers may be necessary and the same applies to the chain derailleurs.Wheel rims are straight and true and if they weren’t it’s a simple matter of adjusting the spokes.I would also recommend that you lubricant the chain, cables and rear derailleur as well before use.If you are mechanically declined I would also recommend that you follow the assembly instructions and watch any videos that may help you with the assembly. As for those who find this mountain bike to heavy… well what did you expect it’s made out of carbon steel, not aluminum, magnesium or alloy steel.Seriously this bike only weighs a few pounds more than my old Trek 800 that got stolen all those years ago and being 6 feet tall this bike is sized properly for my height, I had absolutely no trouble riding or peddling this bike after I put it together and made all of the necessary adjustments.

DO NOT BUY!!!! ALMOST KILLED MY SON !!!!
The media could not be loaded. DO NOT BUY Absolute waste of money to start off it came damage bought it for my son for Christmas and he’s done nothing but fix it since the wheel came bent. The front headset came loose and refuses to tighten the rear hub wobbles as the wheel spins so when he rides his head goes up and down, but the absolute worst part is the brakes randomly gave out one day while he was moving it in the garage completely, he went to press the brake lever to put it up on his back wheel to pivot the bike, and it just completely rolled through he then tried his front brakes and they held the first three presses and then he pressed it again and it clicked and stopped working DO NOT BUY!!! I REPEAT DO NOT BUY!!! God forbid He was going down a hill HE WOULD BE DEAD RIGHT NOW!!! I have contacted the seller and I’m waiting on a full refund for this irresponsible sale on their part

Not for heavier riders
Overall, the bike is a decent buy. It comes mostly assembled, you just have to put on the front tire, handlebars, pedals, and whichever accessories you feel like using. I'm sure the shifters and brakes will need adjustment as well, but I haven't gotten to that point yet. However, if you are buying this bike because you need something with a higher weight rating, there are a couple gotchas to be aware of:1) The seat and seat post do not handle weight well. The instant I try to sit down, the post drops all the way into the tube and the seat tilts back. I'm going to get a bigger, better quality saddle and a sturdier post clamp to see if that fixes the problem. I'm too tall to ride with the seat all the way down.2) You would think that even with the seat issue you could still ride a bit while standing. But the pedals feel like they are made of memory foam. You can feel them wanting to give way when you try putting your weight on them. I've seen in average-sized folks online complain about pedals stripping out the threads and falling out so that they had to replace both pedals and cranks. So, if you're heavier, be prepared to spend money on upgrades before you ride. Or maybe find a different bike that is better equipped to handle heavy riders. My wife is going to try it out to see if she has the same problem. Even without the weight issue, there's a very real possibility you may have to spend money on new cranks and pedals. That's an added expense that could go to just buying a better bike initially. The frame feels solid, the wheels and tires are good, the brakes seem fine, it has Shimano equipment... if you're an average-sized rider and the pedal issue isn't a universal quality-control problem, then this bike is worth the money.

Excellent
I purchased this bike per my son‘s request a little bit reluctantly. It just seemed like too much. We are not large people and I wasn’t sure if he’d be able to handle it. I was wrong. This bike navigate so well. It’s his favorite bike and wherever he goes people?, ask him where he got it. His friends have purchased two since seeing his. We live in a rather urban space that has a lot of forest and grass around it. This bike navigates perfectly on the cement sidewalk, cement Street and forest floors. He does forest parks and bike trails quite often with this. He’s looking forward to the winter so he can try it on snow!
