## Overview

Lexel Clear 5 Oz is a premium synthetic rubber-based sealant designed for professional-grade waterproofing and flexibility. With instant waterproofing and exceptional durability against scrubbing and weather, Lexel ensures a flawless, long-lasting seal that adapts to surface movement and can be applied even on wet surfaces.

## Description

Product Description Sashco 13013-2 13013 5oz Sealants Clear Lexel Adhesive Caulk, 5-Ounce From the Manufacturer Lexel is a co-polymer rubber-based sealant. It has excellent adhesion to a wide variety of materials, even after seven days of water immersion. Although it's tougher and resists tearing, Lexel is a soft rubber. This allows it to stretch and compress with joint movement. Lexel should not be used in areas of continuous submersion (i.e., aquariums or swimming pools). Do not use Lexel in areas where temperatures exceed 200 Degrees F. Lexel may damage some plastics, such as polystyrene foam insulation. Plastics not listed should be tested for Lexel compatibility before general application.

## Features

- Highly elastic sealant built to outlast standard silicone: resists the yellowing and discoloration silicone shows within a season or two, handling up to 700 percent joint movement without losing its color
- Instantly waterproof and a sealant that sticks to wet surfaces: applies to wet or dry surfaces up to a 2 inch joint size so a repair doesn't have to wait for a dry day, a true outdoor sealant waterproof enough for the worst conditions
- Paintable, unlike silicone, and fully waterproof once cured with a smooth, non-porous surface that's easy to clean: ready for latex paint in 24 to 48 hours or oil based paint in 3 to 4 weeks, without silicone's separation issues
- A window leak sealer and exterior window caulk with excellent UV resistance: seals tubs, shower stalls, sinks, countertops, window and door frames, PVC or metal drain pipes, RVs, and gutters that face the sun all day
- Stops water leaks and sticks to almost anything from glass to metal to PVC, indoor or outdoor, never freezes, scrubbable once cured, applies from 0 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, and holds service temperatures from negative 30 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit

## Questions & Answers

**Q: If used to seal threaded connection in pool pipe, how long should you wait before turning the pump back on?**
A: Lexel would adhere to the pipe, but does not handle hydrostatic (water) pressure terribly well. If you choose to use it, we would recommend allowing a full cure (7-10 days) with good air circulation prior to turning the pump back on. For more detailed information, please check out our website at www.sashco.com or contact our customer service and technical support team at 1-800-767-5656 or at csteam@sashco.com.

**Q: Does this have silicone as an ingredient or is it non silicone caulk? Thank you. aj**
A: This is a non silicone caulk...there is no mention of silicone on the product itself.

**Q: Will it dry completely clear on CLEAR glass-to-glass application?**
A: My wood-to-glass-to-plastic application dried crystal clear in the tiny places that it shows at all. I can't imagine why it wouldn't dry clear glass-to-glass. Don't forget to ventilate. If you can use it outside, so much the better. The fumes are strong, but dissipate fairly quickly, and after a time, are not detectable at all. Really great stuff.

**Q: Approximately how long of a 1/4” bead will the 5 oz tube lay ?**
A: A 5oz squeeze tube of Lexel will caulk about 13 linear feet at 1/4" thickness.
