This shuts off when you are not using it. It may be 5-30 minutes.The scenario is turn the receiver on by unhooking it from the collar, use toothpick to press tiny hole, retread collar.Put it on dog and dog is subdued because she know the collar. Then company comes and dog jumps on them. But the receiver has shut off from disuse so no correction from the collar can be sent.Would be nice to have a on button on the outside that can be pushed when needed instead of having to take the collar off and the receiver off the collar.
