2004 Ford Explorer
Recently purchased a 2004 Explorer and the seller only had one remote key fob. A little research and it turns out programming a replacement fob is a piece of cake. Numerous places on the 'net with the process, and this seller has it available on their website as well.I was able to get both of the new remotes programmed and ensure my existing remote still functioned within about five minutes. They work. They work from a distance. And, they are a very, very nice price.Also, I did purchase two additional ones that I am leaving in reserve. At thsi price, it is worth having a backup. On a previous vehicle, I waited too long to get a replacement remote, and they were astronomical if you could even find one. Seriously, at this price for two, get four.

One died for no reason, second going strong.
One of them died just out of the blue. It wasn't dropped, liquid damage, dead battery, etc. It just worked to open the door than clicked the trunk and nothing worked on it again. Still using the second one and it's been fine. Can't really complain for the price, if it dies anytime soon I will update this review

Not compatible as described
I tried several times to get my car to sync to the key following the step-by-step directions provided in the product description. I even watched a few videos on YouTube to try to understand how it work. It wasn’t until professional locksmith came to my house and told me that it wasn’t compatible.

If you have two fobs to program, do BOTH at the same time, not separate as I did.
At first, I thought these fobs were faulty. I would program one, and it would work. Then when I tried to use it, it didn't. Then I programmed the other one, the same thing happened. It drove me BANNANAS! Well, then I realized you have to have BOTH fobs with you when programming, to make them both work. Just when you finish the last step, when programming the one in the ignition, you just push one of the buttons on the second fob. And Viola!!, they both work great now. Geez, what a headache for something so simple to accomplish. I hope this helps others I saw in the reviews that say these fobs don't work. Because the fobs work fantastic, once you figure that out.

Worth the money spent. The quality and color are just what i wanted. It was easy to setup and use. I like the feel of it and the remote function.
