Kerastase Nutritive Oleo-Relax Serum, 4.2 Ounces

Smells amazingly beautiful but can make your hair look oily. Even if you use a pea size amount.

I've bought this serum to use as a heat protectant for my flat/curling iron because all other serums that I've tried made my hair so heavy and oily aspect and after reading reviews saying that this one doesn't do that, so I tried and used 4 pumps cause my hair is so damaged from high and lowlight, my hair didn't get oily at all, it feels like silk, I don't stop touching my hair. My hair is naturally wavy and if I wash and use products and let it dry naturally it will be wavy and pretty but not shinny so I use curling iron to put cuticles together or flat iron, normally I don't use hairspray with my curling iron and the curls stay put for 6 hours naturally but after putting this KERASTASE serum the curls were flat after 1 hour so if you want STRAIGHT HAIR believe me BUY THIS SERUM, it will relax you wavy hair and I think just with a big brush and a hairdryer you will be able to do ALMOST as good as a professional, I am in love with this serum and will try the ELIXIR KERASTASE SERUM, I will be using when just drying my hair or flat ironing but I will use argan oil for curling iron .....I wash and towel dry and put some and after drying I put little bit more, smell is great.....They say it was shipped from UK and it was at my door in 5 days.......LOVE IT.....

I love this stuff - it is a must have in my beauty arsenal. I have thin, dry, color-treated longer hair that is usually tangley and often frizzy. I can say that this product is definitely different and distinct from any other of the many treatments I have for making my hair look like healthy hair. I'm a product junkie and have tried *a lot* of hair products. This is a very runny liquid. Usually I follow the directions and put a couple pumps in damp hair followed by a pump over my hair after styling. Sometimes, if I'm having a frizzy day, I'll use this just on the mid to ends of my hair. I rotate this because, like a lot of products, it seems to work better when I don't use it every time. It seems to have almost no build-up. I've tried several other Kerastase products - Elixir Ultime and Resistance Fibre Architecte and I like this much better than either of those - the elixir ultime gets high ratings but does nothing for my hair. It also lasts a long time - more than a year.

I'm using the oleo-relax shampoo, anti-frizz masque (basically conditioner), and serum. They work wonderfully together. My hair is much, much less frizzy even on rainy days and through workouts, and the volume has reduced without making my hair look flat. Another advantage of these products is that they don't leave hair feeling like it's coated in something (like John Frieda products) or greasy (like some other hair oils). My hair just ends up looking smooth and natural and nice. The price is high, but I think it's reasonable for how well this line of products works. One last note... I have used some shampoos/conditioners that seem to cause dandruff. I don't know if anyone else has had that product, if it's caused my scalp irritation or what, but I have very sensitive skin, and these Kerastase products haven't bothered my scalp or caused breakouts on my face. They also smell lovely. Not too flowery or fruity or anything.Extra note on the serum itself -- I have used the serum for years, while using other shampoos (notably Head & Shoulders 2-in-1). Even using cheap shampoos, this product worked pretty well. It definitely helps smooth hair without making it greasy or building up product. So... if you're not willing to shell out the bucks for the whole "regimen" or whatever, I'd still recommend using the serum.

Wifey here - I am so impressed. I was first introduced to this product when I had my hair done on a cruise ship salon. It was overpriced so I bought it on Amazon. I have stopped using conditioner and have replaced it with this product. It detangles my terribly tangled hair and it makes it so soft. Coupled with a shampoo from the same line, my hair is clear and residue free; therefore, it has more body and life, but no frizz. The bottle is small, but a small amount after each washing goes a long way. I have gone through the shampoo, but I haven’t put a dent In this bottle and have had it for over two months and I have very long hair.

So, I have to say, as an Indian girl with incredibly curly hair, this is the best serum out there to combat frizziness (and believe me, I have tried A LOT). I blowdry my hair a few times a week and follow it up with a flat iron. With this product, however, if I chose to forego the flatiron and just walk out of my apartment, my hair would be perfectly frizz free even if there was a monsoon outside. I never travel without it. Also, a little bit goes a long way. I just reordered another bottle of it having used the last bottle for almost a full year. All you need is one pump of it (if you do more than that, your hair may lose the volume and look flat). Just trust me, this stuff works!As a closing note, I have also used this when I have left my hair naturally curly. It really does work to combat the frizz. It's pricey, but I promise it is worth every penny!

I use this product for mainly heat protection and prevent my hair going dry. Although it’s pricey I think it worth the money. My hair lacks volume so I can’t use something too heavy that will weigh my hair down, yet I need enough nutrients or moisture to use hair styling tools. This product meets my need by keeping my hair glossy while not affecting the volume. Just wish it was a bit cheaper lol

I have extremely course hair that gets a layer of 'flyaways' at the first drop of rain or humidity. In any humidity I have to wear it pulled back tight so it doesn't frizz up. I have been using an average of 3-4 professional salon products on it to keep it tame and even then, on the most humid days, those products are a waste of time and money. But this one???? wow! I've been searching for something like this for years! I've used it for about a week, some days humid, some days not......and it does the job. My hair only started to frizz a little bit and simply by brushing it again, it seemed to flatten out and tame down again. Already ordered a second bottle, I can't go without now!

This stuff smelled divine, and worked a treat on my somewhat wiry, rough middle aged colour treated hair.However, I have since found that L'Oreal's Extraordinary Oil works just as well at half the price. And also smells lush. If you're not fussed about having the label, I'd go down that route :-)

Defiantly not worth the money. I have very curly dry hair and this is no better than the average product you can by for £7-10 in Tesco. Well over priced as a product.

Lovely product, I have course highlighted naturally curly hair. Sometimes I leave it to dry naturally without styling products and when it's nearly dry I apply a small amount of the serum on and my hair looks smooth, feels soft and is wavy. Highly recommended.
