Quest Nutrition Protein Bar, Mocha Chocolate Chip

I have tried many quest bars and like most of them. This one did not disappoint!

I'm a coffee lover, so the the Mocha Chocolate Chip Quest bar is a good alternative to the classic protein flavors. The bar really smells and tastes like chocolate mocha, the taste is enjoyable and sweet (not as sickening sweet as other Quest flavors); the aftertaste (typical to protein bars, including Quest, is not that bad). It's not one of my favorite Quest bar flavors, but it's something I'll pick-up from the line from time to time.The texture is quite dry, not as chewy as other Quest flavors. The bar has quite many chocolate chips and cookie/biscuit crumbles inside (although the quantity varies from bar to bar).Quest bars are one of the best tasting and filling protein bars I tried, most other well known brands just cause me a sugar crash and make me hungry again in 1.5 hour. The Quest bars are very practical, you can throw them in bags without concerns of crumbling and you can even leave them in high temperatures (softened they taste better). Macro wise, I choose not to go with the `net` carbs, I definitely count these bars as higher in calories than the packaging states and this works for me. Also, I observed that the weight of bars is usually higher than 60g. Bottom line, they are a meal replacement, not a snack for me.I try not to eat them too often, because the whole mix of sugar alcohols and fiber sometimes upsets my stomach; and they're not `real` food.

The taste is okay. Not very much mocha flavor or chocolate flavor for that matter. Firm bar. Does keep you full and lots of fiber. Not sure if I would purchase again. Still on a quest for a bar that tastes like something other than protein.

Quest bars all have the same disgusting taste. I’ve tried nearly all of them and can confirm this. They used to taste better but they’ve changed the recipe, and now they all taste like trash. They’re also overpriced. I can get them for the same price at my local grocery store buying them one by one, as I can buying an entire box.
