Fast Fun Car! - Would Buy again.
I did a TON of research before buying this. I bought 2 of these for Christmas (2016). One for my 5 year old son and one for me. So far I'm very pleased. I wish this seller would offer more of these because I'd rather buy this upgraded set than just get a regular version from someone else. I'm ready to buy a 3rd one for my daughter. Let me cover a couple of issues here on my review.1. First of course it's "not a toy" and too "hobby level" for a 5 year old. But I set the cars up before we play and hand him the synced remote. He knows what to do after that and has a ton of fun with it.2. The extra battery is very welcome. We've been actually getting more like 18 minutes of play on each battery. We're not full throttle for 18 minutes. But with our casual style of play it's pleanty of time. My son actually usually only plays for one battery and then is done. Then we do a second round with one of my other kids. I'm very happy with the battery life.3. Remote syncing issues.. to sync you turn on the car and then turn on the remote. Sometimes when you turn on the remote the car just starts going. Simply turn the remote off and back on and it's fixed and under control. It's no big deal. I just make sure to hold the car up when syncing it in case that happens.4. Broken parts are to be expected. It's going to happen. So far we broke a body mount on one car and front bumpers on both. You have a car that goes like 20mph. If you hit a wall at that speed something is going to break. So we plan to just order spare parts. That's part of having a car like this.5. Traction and steering. I love the proportional steering and throttle. We've run them both in our large dirt back yard and out front on the street. On the street it is very easy to control and it can go full speed and stay going straight. That's fun on one level. On the dirt you can't just hit full throttle or it spins out and does donuts. You can ramp up to it and go like 75% and still go straight. It is harder to control on dirt. But it's a ton of fun. And it makes racing more challenging. And on dirt I feel more comfortable jumping ramps.6. Gears: I don't know how much better the upgraded gears are on this one but we haven't had any issues with the gears (and they included an extra set of some gears). Both of my cars are operating fine so far. We've taken them out probably 6 times so far for about 30 min each time.Bottom line is that it's a great car and a ton of fun. Personally I like it as is. Maybe you could give up some speed and have better handling on dirt and make it less prone to part breakage. But I wouldn't make that choice. Plus you can just drive it less fast if you want. I plan to buy at least one more car plus more parts. My only wish is that they they had a blur/read body color option. If they did I'd probably buy two more.

I wanna like it...
Nice little RC if you want to spend $70 for a couple hours of fun. If these gears are upgraded, I'd hate to have had a car with the previous version. I bought this car for my son for his birthday, hes 8. I am tired of the storebought ones, and thought it's a good stepping stone. Didn't take him long to get the hang of it. Range is awesome. I wired some headlights and tail lights so you can tell orientation of the RC when it's far away. I also wired another plug for some 8.4v 1500mah NMHI batteries I had laying around. The batteries it came with last about 18min for my son, four batteries is plenty. He played with the first set of gears 2 days and the second set lasted one, not really beating it too hard as I was onto him already about throwing from reverse to drive. I expected the gears to break as I had done research before I bought the RC, I was just hoping they'd last at least a month. I'm surprised at the durability ad the RC though, he's crashed it pretty hard, and the body/chassis is still sound. Two of the rims have busted already and one tire split. Like others have said the RC is really fun to drive, even for me. I'm not interested in buying replacement gears, for as long as they last. I have bought some 48p 7075 aluminium gears and I'm in the process of making the fit the gearbox. We'll see how long the last with no slipper clutch and locked diff. The car is really fun to drive and my son loves it it's not 33mph of course but it's more than fast enough to have fun. I don't understand why go through the trouble of making such a good lil car with such a weak link.

Purchased this for my 9yo daughter for Christmas 2017. Came with two batteries, which last for at least 15 minutes. This depends on how hard and fast you run it. She is moderately going. The only true flaw is speed. It is very very fast. Almost to fast for its size. You have to learn how to control the throttle or it will fish tail since it is RWD. At full speed you can lose control.Personally, the overall size including tires is 1/12 scale. The body is not, at least that is my perception of their scaling. Reminds me of a Ford Ranger with full size 1 ton (F350) running gear/axles. Huge on a small body.I would buy again, just know you or your child has to learn throttle control.

Fast, fun, and cheap!
This looks to be a custom packed version of the GP Toys S912 available through various other sellers and names. My son got this one for Christmas. So far so good! This thing is fast and fun! My 8 year old is getting the hang on controlling it and keeping it at a controllable speed. Loses traction easily at full speed and spins out, esp on sandy or wet asphalt. No good on ice at all. I can't compare this to more expensive models like a Redcat or a Traxxas, but as an entry level for my kid this is just what we needed. This particular model came with an extra battery and extra body which is awesome....my son loved having the two colors and the extra battery is almost a necessity to get enough play time.Only reason it's 4 stars and not 5: A couple weird issues where it seems to lose connection with the controller and do it's own thing, but that hasn't really affected the overall fun level.

Clean and stupid quick toy
Price is steep but product is great, goes 13-15mph not 33mph as claimed, upgraded parts are just metal cv shafts (rear only) and a spare set of plastic gears (cheap sh*) and a extra 7.4v 800mah li-ion battery. My real suggestion is to go with the s911 and get a better battery like a 2s lipo 7.4v 3200mah floureon sold here on amazon for $20 or so runtime is over 1 consistent hour. Otherwise, legit AF TOY!
