As I have gotten older my back was started to bother me more and the adjustments don't get the same results. My chiro told me I don't have the curve in my back that should be there along with the other problem. He told me you can lose the curve sitting too much or being on your feet much thru the years. My back pain is worse and more often since I am in school and sitting more. My chiro told me to put a towel rolled up behind my back daily to try and get the curve back and stretch that area. I tried that and it helped but I didn't feel it was doing enough. I was looking something more and found this device. I thought it would work better than a roll if it worked at all. Well I can say I am happily surprised how well it works for me. I feel better when walking around and I have none or very little discomfort in my lower back every day.The first time I tried it I thought the lowest level wasn't going to be enough so I tried the second level. It turned out that was too much initially so I went back to the first level. Now I am at the second level and I can tell such a difference in my back. I don't know if the curve is coming back but my back all over feels less tight and I move much better. I use it on the floor daily but I also use is in my chair when I'm sitting and relaxing. I am shocked at how much better my back feels even when sitting. I still see the chiro but between visits my back feels better than it has in years. I would highly recommend but I think you need to use it often to get results. Very glad I made the purchase. At the insistence of my lawyer, I saw a chiropractor 3 times a week for 3 months. It not only didn’t help but seemed to make things worse. I was to the point of having difficulty getting out of bed and other mundane tasks which encouraged me to look for other low cost, non-pharmaceutical, non-surgical methods of relief. I purchased this itemthinking, “what have I got to lose?”I followed the directions starting on the lowest setting and tried the different positions in order from the least to the most stretch. It didn’t do much but I’ve always been flexible so I put the apparatus in the second setting and assumed the least stretch position. I found it a bit difficult to relax but when I did… 3 gentle pops, like my vertebrae just slid into a better place. I felt good enough to do some housework that had been eluding me.The instructions say to use the stretcher twice a day. I was s bit reluctant as I didn’t want my improvement to regress, but I did it again that evening and got a few more gentle pops. I slept more comfortably that night and awoke feeling better with much more range of motion than I had had in months. Two days with this product was better than 3 months of chiropractic appointments for me.I would give 5 stars for results, ease of assembly, weight, and portability; however, if I am very picky, I would prefer to have some kind of removable/washable cover for the unit to ease in cleaning and keep my long hair from getting caught in the holder tabs at the top. Definitely use it in comfortable clothing with flat seams. It is plenty sturdy enough for my body weight (about 150 pounds). It is easy to change from a low setting to a higher one, but the arch tends to stay too bent to stay in the tabs if the user tries to adjust down. The pad for the spine is nice but could be more cushioning. The hardest part of using this is figuring out exactly where to put your tailbone. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More than just a stretching device! *by on Reviewed in the United States October 28, 2019* This device is the absolute best device I have tried. I have cervical spinal stenosis, thorax and lumbar issues. I start with placing the device in the thorax area. I lay on it for a short while, breathing, like yoga breathing, them slowly moving the device downwards to the lumbar area, and all the way down to the lower back. Inch by inch and step by step I treat my entire spine and the muscles. I started out on the lowest level, and it hurt a great bit, so I could not lay on it for too long, a few seconds was all I could take. Now I can easily do 30 seconds on the highest level. In addition to stretching, it seems like it is also working a bit chiropractic. I feel and hear my joints crack and adjust, just like if a chiropractor was working on them. Even the stomach reacts, by rumbling. I get up slowly, and stretch my beck the opposite way before getting all the way up. I also lay on the side on the device. I have a deep pain somewhere around my shoulder blade area. It is so deep within in that I cannot locate it to massage it. It pinches and burns all the way out in my arm. When I lay on the side, I slowly move my body to find the spot, and I stretch it as much as I can bare. It has helped tremendously! It's almost unbelievable. One last thing I do, is my neck. I turn the device sideways, position my neck on it, and turn my head side to side, holding on each side for a few seconds (or more) at a time.
