Review: Works decently well for helmets, too - If you're anything like me, you looked at these and thought, "...maybe that could work for a helmet." So I took a chance, and turns out I was mostly right! The stands themselves are super easy to assemble, requiring only a Phillips head, and the foresight to put the head of the screw through the recessed hole. The helmets on display here are old Hasbro Clone Phase 1 helmets intended for kids. They're plastic throughout and aren't very heavy. I would exercise a good deal of caution if your helmet is a nice Black Series one, or if it's particularly fragile. The stands are very lightweight and this shows in their wobbliness when weight is applied even when tightened. I reckon some glue or better base support would help a lot. You could, of course, buy a stand *meant* for a helmet, but that's entirely your call. I went with the tallest stand, which I believe was 16", and as you can see, there's still a little room below it. I measured from the inside roof of the helmet and got ~13 but your mileage may vary with a stouter or taller helmet. Also, positioning the top part juuuust right to hold the helmet evenly took a little bit of work and would be knocked loose by a child sneezing at it wrong. Lastly, I didn't even realize square bases were an option - that would have been a far more stable option.
