## Description

Designed as a replacement for the ST-625 model, the FireAngel FA6615 smoke alarm (twin pack) has a 10-year sensor, is fitted with 2 x AA 5-year replaceable batteries and is equipped with an optical sensing chamber, providing a fast response to slow-burning fires. ENHANCED SENSING The optical smoke sensing chamber works by 'seeing' smoke as it enters the alarm—making it ideal for slow-burning fires with thick white smoke and less prone to false alerts from cooking fumes. SLEEP EASY If a low battery alert occurs at night, you can silence the smoke detector for 8 hours by pressing the test button. The alarm will be muted, but the red LED will continue to flash. The alarm will still detect smoke during Sleep Easy mode. Replace the batteries ASAP. TEST/SILENCE To test your device, press the large test button. The alert will sound to verify that the alarm is functioning correctly. During a known false alarm, press the test button to temporarily silence the alarm for 10 minutes.

I had previously two smoke detectors from FireAngle which had a non-replaceable battery. Unfortunately the life span on them was not the five - ten years as stated (more like three). So when one started to "chirp" we replaced them both with this model. I am happy with this replacement as the batteries (two AA) are able to be replaced! The slight downside is that the mounting bracket is smaller than the previous model, meaning that a little bit of filler and paint was required to tidy up the area around the previous drill holes. Overall, for the cost, ease of installation, coupled with the fact the batteries are replaceable, I am very pleased with this purchase. Definitely recommended.
