## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work with a 2Lo kit?**
A: If the range is needed to be greater, drop down a hole in the lower linkage plate, and it should work. Lowest hole has more throw. Center is for standard 231.

**Q: Will this work for a stock Jeep no lift no drop nothing**
A: Yes it will all that dose is get rid of the transfer case weak linkage With something is better and makes you shift better just know you are going to have to make your own Adjustments to get it dialed in

**Q: I have a 98 jeep xj with a ls1 conversion. 4L60 transmission with a 231 Np . Will it work on it?**
A: You have to modify it, ie weld a 1.5 inch tab on the lever extension. And use the stick shift mounting, just got done doing this today, linkage works perfect now.

**Q: Will this work on an 1984. 2.8 v6 4x4 cherokee xj selec-trac np229 t-case?**
A: If you can, go look at diagrams for the shift linkages of cherokee of similar or later year with the inline 6 cylinder np224 Transfer case.

If they are very similar in dimensions and functionality it’s likely to work. You can contact azzys design works throught their main site for more tech questions too. They may already know the answer.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Night and day difference
*by T***. on November 18, 2019*

I'm not typically one to buy the hype. I bought this based on having my 4WD pop out once on the trail and forum recommendations. I figured it was a good upgrade, but imagined the difference I would actually feel would likely slight. Wrong. The feel in shifting the transfer case is NIGHT AND DAY. I couldn't believe it. It's SO much more solid. I sat in the Jeep shifting it back and forth for 15 minutes just amazed. Getting rid of that Rube Goldberg machine Chrysler engineered might be the best upgrade I've ever done to my XJ.Some install notes (from my own perspective, of course)...* I have the 5-speed AX-15 and did need to use the version 7 knock out to get the proper alignment and spacing on the shifter link plate. I was dubious it that would be solid, but it very much is. After seeing and feeling it for myself, I have no concerns about it. You can see how it goes in my pics (attached).* Azzy's directions could be (much) better. They're confusing in parts, and I think there's a few typos. For example, one section mentions "2L". There is no 2L. I wasn't sure they meant 2H or 4L. I just winged it though and was fine. I think the directions are written from the perspective of guys who've done this a million times, so they miss or gloss over some bits that those of us who've never done it could benefit from. It's not rocket science though, so just use your head and some critical thinking and you'll be fine.* The t-case link plate does sit at an angle that touches the transfer case. It seems wrong, like it's going to prevent it from going into gear or something. Don't worry though, it's fine.* Getting the nylock nut on the t-case link plate can be difficult due to the proximity to the case itself. You might be tempted to trim a couple millimeters off the bolt. DON'T! You need the enter length due to the jam nut. Just snug up the jam nut and then go in the cab and shift the whole thing to 4H. Plenty of room there then to put on the nylock nut and tighten.* You may not think so at first, but you will need to fine tune the center rod in order to get the proper shift points. Before I fine tuned it I had an issue where if I pulled the lever back all the way to the stop, I was half in neutral and the gears ground (bad). Here's what I did to fine tune... I pulled off the trim from the shift handle and shifted into 4H, making sure the "Part Time" light was ON on the instrument cluster. I then adjusted the center rod on the linkage until the shifter arm/handle was just a hair from the stop tab inside the shifter housing. You can see what I mean in my pics. After adjusting the linkage to push the lever back to that tab while in 4H, it was perfect. All told, this kit is worth every penny in my book. If something changes I absolutely will post an update back here, but I don't expect an issues.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So worth it
*by D***A on March 2, 2022*

2000 jeep Cherokee XJ, I had always had a hard time shifting from 4 high to 2 high and back. Anyways I never tried 4 low since I bought the jeep. Went to try it and could not get it in whatsoever. Anyways then I couldn't shift back into 2wd and was stuck grinding on the edge of 4wd. Had to shift it back manually on the transfer case to 2wd on the side of the road . Checked under the jeep and the torque shaft worked it's way out of the grommet on the OEM shift linkage. Don't waste your time with the OEM one again it will just fail again over time. This azzys one is the real deal. Went from not working at all to shifting through all the gears including 4 low like butter. If your debating this like I was or having the same type of 4 low issues look into this! Very very happy with it

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great upgrade for a jeep!
*by S***M on September 6, 2022*

Off the bat this little linkage was a bit of a fuss to install, my old linkages were rusted together, and with the front drive shaft in the way everything was hard to get at. Took me a decent bit longer to install than i was originally hoping, but in the end that extra bit of time was very worth it. I used to get stuck in 4hi when coming out of 4lo going into 2hi and this thing fixed the issue! Along with that, shifting my transfercase now feels insanely connected and direct. I can feel the gears meshing through the handle and i no longer feel like im forcing the case when shifting. I completely recommend this even if you have no issues with your tc. A very worthwhile purchase.
