I like that it is tapered on the ends so that if feeds through compressor hose reel. I have a rubber hose on my reel. I keep 99% isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle in my shot for lubricating rubber parts to put them together. It lubricates, dries quickly and leaves no residue. I used it to put the fitting on the hose. It works great. I was a little worried it may not work since I'm not running Flexzilla air line on my retractable reel but it worked first try without issues. Definitely need some muscle to get the hose over the barb fitting but once bottomed out the tapered ends thread on with ease.
