Prior review:Just received this case / keyboard... and it's too early too tell how it should be rated - like many others of these reviews.But... first impressions are positive. Seems to work fine - though, some of the keyboard keys respond slowly. Likely due to, the inexpensive construction / parts and Bluetooth connection quality.Otherwise... beautiful case that matches the silver iPad perfectly.My wife has one also - about 3 weeks older, and it seems to function about the same as mine - reason I bought one. However, her hinge has some play in it, which we don't think was present intially. Mine has no play at this time, but I suspect it could develop. What do you expect for $55???We'll likely return her's and replace it and see how it functions for 3 weeks.We both bought the extended warranty - it's cheap, and will be worth it, if the failure rate / reliability is as bad as in the negative reviews. Too many negative reviews - so, you shouldn't expect a very durable / reliable case - but, if you are careful with it, and handle it with care, it might be worth the investment.But... for now... it seems great. You might try it... in the same manner as we have... to see how it holds up. We'll see and post a follow-review.Update:We contacted the vendor and requested a return / replacment for my wifes keyboard. The play / looseness in the hinge seemed to be getting worse and we were afraid it would break. The vender approved the return / replacement and the return label was received, and the replacement was received within 2 days - all "automagically."The replacement has no issues yet detected... and... the keyboard keys are all responsive with no delays. We'll see how it holds up over the longer term.But, the customer service responsiveness is SUPERB / EXCELLENT!

I have used different keyboards (Logitech, Belkin), but this one is by far the best. The brushed-silver case looks great and securely holds and protects my iPad. It feels sturdy and it is; I particularly appreciate the strong metal hinge and the fact that the iPad doesn’t tip over because the keyboard section is adequately weighted. The keyboard is spaced perfectly for my hands and I like the touch of the keys. I had no trouble pairing the keyboard with my iPad—it was almost instant. Unlike the Belkin, the Bluetooth stays connected. Get a kick out of the keyboard backlighting, even though I don’t think I’ll use the feature very often. One feature I do rely on is the little light goes on when “caps lock” is engaged–this is a great feature missing from most other iPad keyboards. I can’t find a thing to complain about! I do have one suggestion: the manufacturer should invest in translating the manual into coherent English and print it more clearly on better paper. It is hard to decode and makes a poor impression. Luckily I didn’t need the manual, as I’d done my homework before buying by reading other users’ reviews and the Q & A.

Overall this seems like a good product. I didn't notice before purchasing that they keys are white, which wouldn't be my first choice and I fear they will look soiled quickly. The ipad fits snugly inside and it paired easily. The keyboard functions well and the back light is great. The only negative that I've noticed so far is that the case finish is already looking a little mottled - like it's smudged. But it doesn't clean off. So, I'm wondering how that will look in another few months because it started deteriorating within a couple of weeks. But, it provides good protection for my ipad with good functionality. I have used several Zaggmates case / keyboard combos, and the cloth in the cover seems to fall apart and gets sticky. This product won't have that issue and the price is much more reasonable.

I’m over-the-top excited about this keyboard. It’s absolutely beautiful and sleek and really does look like a Mac instead of a separate keyboard with my iPad. The packaging was professional and easy to understand. I’ll be using this for work so it was important that it be functional from a keyboard aspect, as well as classy and professional looking when I’m working with clients. From a typist’s standpoint, the keys are easy to navigate and seem to be properly spaced and responsive. The only issue I’ve had with the key placement is that the right SHIFT key is not placed in a convenient location. When I cap a letter with my right pinky finger, I naturally hit the “PGUP” key which then shifts my entries into the line above. I hope that this placement issue will correct itself with time as I recondition my typing instincts.I’ve purchased Bluetooth keyboards in the past that were functional and did what they were supposed to do, but this keyboard by Favormates exceeds by expectations beyond what I though would make me happy. It’s got the WOW factor that you just know will catch everyone’s interest. I’d forgotten how it feels to have a functional computer/tablet product that was like getting a Christmas present as a child. I just hope it performs as expected.

Excellent so far.. easy to set up and very sturdy. Keyboard not quite as responsive as i’d Like but time will tell. Love that it turns iPad on and off as you open and close...

Works very well, and I researched good and hard for the best bluetooth keyboard. No problems :)
