Tronsmart FORCE-UK Bluetooth Speaker, Black, 40W

I bought this as it was on a voucher deal and I wanted a super loud small(ish) speaker. 50 watts ? That’s got to be loud right?No - I have a 16 watt speaker that is nearly the same volume as this, this is no way 50watts. I would believe 20 watts, but no way 50. At medium volume this is rubbish, it’s not until max volume does it start to get loud.I bought this just because of the 50watts and the volume is really disappointing. I gave it 1 star because I’ve had it a couple of months and the battery has died. No longer holds a charge.

I was so impressed with the sound quality of the 40db version I bought 2 of them and I would, hands down, recommend this version any day of the week. HOWEVER goodness knows how (as they had such a remarkable quality prior version) but this version is awfull. Midd range is ear sharing, bass is lacking and to top the lot they removed the EQ presets they had on the old version, which were brilliant for an instant sound boost. Even using my phone or MAC EQ couldn't improve things. By the time you've eq'd out the horrific mid range you need to raise the bass and treble frequencies to reach the extra db's you've paid the extra for!! Truly NOT GOOD!

I sent this back as it is about the size and weight of a house brick. Sound was good for the price however.

Brilliant piece of kit. I've had three weeks. I've charged it once. Fantastic sound and easy to connect.1 small negative. It doesn't turn off automatically if not connected.Well worth the money though

First impressions are all positive - sounds very good (much better than the Apple HomePod Mini I tested yesterday) and seems very well made.
