Focal Length Range:10 -20mm. Review: Great DX (APSC) lens for the price! - I'm a hobbyist in photography and this is my first ultra wide angle lens. It took me some time to learn how to use ultra wide lens but I absolutely love this lens. For around $300 it gives me great images and a lot of fun to use. Pros: - Optically superb, very sharp in landscape photography - Fast and accurate auto focus thanks to the newer AF-P motor - Smooth and quiet auto focus (compared to AF-S lenses) - Close focusing distance - Light weight and small size - Lens hood included No real cons for me but there are some limitations: - Maximum aperture F/4.5-5.6, which is not good for low light, indoor, and astro photography. - When using the built-in flash on my D5500, shooting at 10 mm there is a shadow of the lens in the image Other notes: - Unless you need to photograph people in low light or you want to do astro photograph, the small aperture will do just fine. - I didn't use this lens extensively until I went on a family trip recently; Admittedly I have trouble in composition as the angle of view is too wide in some cases. - I learned to get closer and take advantage of the close focus distance, then I started to really appreciate this little gem. Review: Can't back up? This is the lens for you. Great Optics, very practical IMO.. - I have had this lens for about 2 months now, I mainly do construction photography, and I am very happy with the results of the few hundred photos I have taken with it. I have a crop sensor D5500 and I do a lot of indoor photography for work and pleasure. This lens at the 20 mm setting is significantly wider than my standard kit 18-55mm lens at the 18 setting. So if you are in an environment where backing up isn't an option this lens is an ideal choice. I also do a lot of panoramic photography in which I may take 5-10 shots and sew them together in photoshop, this lens has given me the ability to take 2-3 photos and sew them instead of 6-7. Or just take 1 instead of sewing 2-3 together. I also find the distortion at the 10 setting visually attractive when shooting large buildings or vehicles, it give them a larger than life feel. Optics are wonderful, crisp and auto focus is quick and accurate. The lens hood is nice but basic, but be careful you cannot use the built in flash with it, it will create a shadow (same issue with many Lens hoods) ## Features - Ultra-wide-angle view that surpasses any Kit Lens and lets you get creative with Composition - Compact, lightweight, durable design that's great for travel and outings.Angle of view:109 degree to 70 degree - Outstanding Optics deliver beautiful photos and videos, even in challenging situations. Minimum focus distance - 0.22 meter ( 0.8 feet) from focal plane at all zoom positions - Near-silent autofocus stepping motor is ideal for recording video. Compatible format(s) DX - Vibration reduction (VR) image stabilization keeps handheld photos and videos sharp and helps with Low-light shooting.Accepts Filter Type:Screw-on ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B072639587 | | Best Sellers Rank | #168 in SLR Camera Lenses | | Brand | Nikon | | Built-In Media | AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR lens, CL-1015 Soft Lens Case, HB-81 Bayonet Lens Hood, LC-72 72 mm Snap-on Front Lens Cap, LF-4 Rear Lens Cap | | Camera Lens | 20 month | | Camera Lens Description | 20 month | | Color | Black | | Compatible Camera Models | Fujifilm FinePix IS Pro, Nikon D3500, Nikon D70, Nikon D7000, Nikon D750 | | Compatible Camera Mount | F mount | | Compatible Mountings | F mount | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 2,147 Reviews | | Exposure Control Type | Automatic | | Focal Length Description | 10-20mm | | Focus Type | Auto Focus | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00018208200672 | | Image stabilization | Optical | | Iso Range | 100-25600 | | Item Weight | 8.16 ounces | | Lens | Wide Angle | | Lens Coating Description | Air Sphere Coating | | Lens Design | Zoom | | Lens Fixed Focal Length | 20 millimeters | | Lens Mount | Nikon F | | Lens Type | Wide Angle | | Light Sensitivity | 100-25600 | | Manufacturer | Nikon | | Manufacturer Part Number | JAA832DA | | Maximum Aperture | 4.5 millimeters | | Maximum Focal Length | 20 | | Maximum Shutter Speed | 20 seconds | | Media Type | ProductImage | | Minimum Aperture | 29 | | Minimum Focal Length | 10 | | Model Name | 20067 | | Model Number | 20067 | | Number of Diaphragm Blades | 9 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Photo Filter Size | 7.2 centimeters | | Real Angle Of View | 109 degrees | | Shooting Modes | 'video' | | UPC | 018208200672 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Video Capture Format | MP4 | | Video Capture Resolution | 1920 x 1080 | | Warranty Description | 1 year Maufacturer | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | Zoom Ratio | 2:1 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Nikon - **Camera Lens Description:** 20 month - **Compatible Mountings:** F mount - **Focal Length Description:** 10-20mm - **Lens Type:** Wide Angle ## Images ![AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Lens Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Mu6-WrpVL.jpg) ![AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Lens Black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51KMT-yeiXL.jpg) ![AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Lens Black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61G8G2Kiz1L.jpg) ![AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Lens Black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61XhU+yE5IL.jpg) ![AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Lens Black - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61mLe5zKmsL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this work with my D3000?** A: It should work with a D3000, D3200, etc, but only as a manual focus lens. Some of Nikon's lower-end DX (cropped sensor, APS-C format) have electronic contact points to work with lenses that have their own built-in AF motor, but do not themselves have a motor to move the lens's AF. Those cameras will only auto focus with AF-S or AF-I lenses, but not AF-P lenses. If you are using this lens on one of these cameras and the shutter release button won't take a picture, the camera may be preventing shutter release because you don't have a clear focus at your selected AF point. (Perhaps you focused on one object and then reframed the shot.) You could check to see if you have a menu setting for "AF-S priority selection" that might allow the camera to shoot when it thinks it is out of focus. Otherwise, even though you are focusing manually, you would probably need to lock focus and then reframe so the camera knows that you intend that focus. **Q: Will this work on a D5500 without a firmware update?** A: The number of cameras compatible with AF-P NIKKOR lenses is limited. Even for compatible cameras, firmware update may be required*. Fully compatible models: D850, D500, D7500, D5600, D5500, D5300*, D3400, D3300* and later models Compatible models with limited functions: D5, D810 series, Df, D750, D7200, D7100, D5200, Nikon 1 series with the FT-1 Incompatible models: D4 series, D3 series, D2 series, D1 series, D800 series, D700, D610, D600, D300 series, D200, D100, D7000, D5100, D5000, D90, D80, D70 series, D3200, D3100, D3000, D60, D50, D40 series, film cameras... So, in short, YES it will! **Q: Does this come with a lens hood or case?** A: It comes with the lens hood and a fabric pouch not a case. Hope this helps. **Q: Does this work with the d7100** A: The number of cameras compatible with AF-P NIKKOR lenses is limited. Even for compatible cameras, firmware update may be required*. Fully compatible models: D850, D500, D7500, D5600, D5500, D5300*, D3400, D3300* and later models Compatible models with limited functions: D5, D810 series, Df, D750, D7200, D7100, D5200, Nikon 1 series with the FT-1 Incompatible models: D4 series, D3 series, D2 series, D1 series, D800 series, D700, D610, D600, D300 series, D200, D100, D7000, D5100, D5000, D90, D80, D70 series, D3200, D3100, D3000, D60, D50, D40 series, film cameras So, in short, it WILL work, but with "limited functions"... ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great DX (APSC) lens for the price! *by H***H on June 4, 2019* I'm a hobbyist in photography and this is my first ultra wide angle lens. This is the lens for you. When attached to the D5300 camera, a new menu appears that controls the VR from the camera as there are no physical switches on the lens itself. I like it because it has vibration reduction (VR) so photos come out sharp when hand-held. It's also light weight, quiet and has fast focus. The photos look good. This is a useful lens for indoors - to catch everything inside a room - and for outdoors for those deep, wide scenic shots. One of the best things about this lens is it allows me to have a quality, true wide-angle lens at an affordable price. It comes with a US warrantee, front and rear lens caps, front lens hood and a soft carrying bag. Hats off to Amazon who delivered this lens just 20 hours after purchase. ## Frequently Bought Together - Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Lens Black - Amazon Basics UV Protection Camera Lens Filter - 72mm - Amazon Basics Circular Polarizer Camera Lens Filter - 72 mm --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/44128921-af-p-dx-nikkor-10-20mm-f-4-5-5](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/44128921-af-p-dx-nikkor-10-20mm-f-4-5-5) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
