It fit the aquarium without extending the brackets and covered the entire tank. This light is pretty easy to program, I’m not sure why I see so many reviews complaining that this is a difficult light to program…. Took me like 5 minutes to set up for a Siesta Planted Aquarium for my 29 gallon and 5 gallon planted tank. Plant growth has been crazy with the Siesta Method. Currently I’m using a Siesta Method with this light with the current setting:To set this light for custom mode. You first need to turn off all your other mode first or it is not going to work! Then you simultaneously press the setting and light bulb button at the same time. Remember need to set it to ON then press the setting button again, and you will start with L1 with the flashing number on the right. The number on the right indicates the intensity. Press up and down to control the intensity. Once you are satisfied with the intensity, press the setting button. The left side time flashing is the time your light will be on. The right time flashing is the time your light will be turn off. Press setting to confirm your time and it will switch to L2, repeat your step. Literally L1 - L8 is like a timeslot that you can customize…. How can people not understand that?….L1 - L6 is full spectrum and L7-L8 is night spectrum. Always have 0% on L8 if you dont want algae. If you want algae and have your night mode on the whole night then go ahead.Light 8am - 12pm on. 12 - 4pm off. 4 - 10pm on.
