The center hole for the Planar is larger than the one for the Crosley C6, and the Planar platter does not have as much space for the sub platter. Background is quieter , the separation between instruments and voices is improved and the overall sound is a little less bright. Worth noting that my deck is quite heavily modified - new Rega motor and PSU, ceramic bearing, metal sub platter, etc. A very slightly loose fit on the sub platter spindle, but easily remedied with a sliver of PTFE tape. Nicely made and quite a bit cheaper than alternatives from GrooveTracer et al.
