Its heavy-duty steel chassis and aluminum faceplate provide both strength and aesthetic appeal, while its flexible configuration options and reliable triggering mechanisms make it a versatile addition to any home audio system. ## Description The BASX A-800 is what some people call a zone amplifier: it provides eight separate channels of amplification, which can be used as eight separate channels, or as four stereo pairs, or as four bridged channels, each capable of delivering higher power. A pair of stereo bus inputs can be used to send the same source signal to each pair of channels, or each channel can be fed with its own individual input signal. Flexible triggering options allow the BASX A-800 to be turned on manually, or by a trigger signal from your processor or preamp, or configured to turn on automatically when it senses an audio input. The BASX A-800 is perfect for running multiple pairs of speakers in different locations or rooms, and can provide plenty of great sounding power to run up to four separate pairs of in-ceiling or in-wall speakers in up to four different zones. Because it is so flexible, you can also use the BASX A-800 to power up to eight surround sound or ceiling speakers in a home theater system, or you could even configure it to provide two high-power channels for surround speakers, and four lower powered channels for ceiling speakers. With the BASX A-800, the possibilities are almost endless. ## Features - Plenty of great sounding class a/B Audio power: 50 watts RMS/Channel (eight channels); or 100 watts RMS/Channel (four Bridged channels). Heavy steel 2RU chassis with milled aluminum faceplate offers strength and rugged good looks - Super flexible: can be used as eight separate channels, or as four stereo pairs, or as four Bridged channels, or any combination. - Expand your system by using two powerful Bridged channels for your Surrounds and four separate channels for your ceiling speakers. - Flexible triggering options including manual triggering and auto-sense. - Heavy duty construction, real full-sized speaker connections, and removable heavy duty IEC power cord, and a serious industry-leading warranty. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B071Z87LDP | | Brand Name | emotiva audio | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (5) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00818841012003 | | Included Components | 1 multi-zone amplifier | | Item Dimensions | 17 x 16 x 4 inches | | Item Type Name | Emotiva Audio Multi-Zone Power Amplifier Home Audio/Video Product Black (A-800) | | Item Weight | 26 pounds | | Manufacturer | Emotiva Audio Corporation | | Material Type | steel, aluminum | | Model | A-800 | | Mounting Type | Surface Mount | | Number of Channels | 8 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Output Power | 50 watts | | Part Number | A-800 | | Specification Met | Industry Standards | | UPC | 818841012003 | | Warranty Description | Three years | ## Product Details - **Brand:** emotiva audio - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 17 x 16 x 4 inches - **Manufacturer:** Emotiva Audio Corporation - **Mounting Type:** Surface Mount - **Number of Channels:** 8 ## Images ![Emotiva Audio Multi-Zone Power Amplifier Home Audio/Video Product Black (A-800) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/619fKNj1xKL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Configuration, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can i use the marantz sr 5011 with the emotiva a-500 bas x5 amplifier ?** A: If you have the RCA pre out on the back of your receiver you can. **Q: Woud this drive a pair of polk audio tsi 500 nicely. my home reciever is not enough power.** A: easily and confidently **Q: Can i connect this emotiva audio a-500 with an a/v onkyo tx-nr737?, i have connected a couple of revel concerta f2, audio monitor center bronz and mr4** A: Basically, the Onkyo "8"s have pre-outs. Below that, they don't. I'm using an Emotiva amp (the A-300) with the pre-outs for the front left and right speakers from an Onkyo TX-NR828, and it's a remarkable improvement in the clarity of the sound, particularly the higher pitched instruments like cymbals. Basically the pre-amp section of the Onkyo receivers is excellent, while the power amp section comes up short, so this is a good fit -- just if your Onkyo is an "8" or up with pre-outs. **Q: Will this amp drive 4 ohm speakers and at what wattage?** A: The amp works well with 4 ohm speakers and drives at 190 watts per channel. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/44430388-emotiva-audio-multi-zone-power-amplifier-home-audio-video-product](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/44430388-emotiva-audio-multi-zone-power-amplifier-home-audio-video-product) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
