Restaurants in town sell panini sandwiches, and, upon occasion, I will order them. However, sometimes it’s inconvenient to go out to eat with everyone’s busy schedule. I wanted a panini maker that wouldn’t take up a lot of space, one that I could easily use in the morning or at lunch time to make a sandwich. This product is great. It stays clean, heats quickly (we have an electric range), and does exactly what you would expect... makes panini. I debated, would I use this enough to justify the purchase? Then I thought, I have all of the ingredients all of the time, if I price each sandwich at $3, would I see a return on my investment? The answer is easily yes. Small risk for a sizeable return. Before gifting, you need to know that this makes one sandwich and possibly two compact wraps. If you’re gifting to a larger household, you might consider a larger panini maker. Another selling point... this is essentially a pan and not a countertop space hog. When done with it, carefully stow with your other pans. I have two red copper products, and they tend to last many years before replacement is needed.Update: One week of use and I've made like 6 sandwiches. Bought a Red Copper square pan (9.5") at a thrift store. Pretty good!Too big. Single egg slid around and cooked unevenlyBought the smaller Red Copper Flipwich here on amazon.I do put a light coat of butter with a silicone brush on both sides.Heat on medium: Add eggs right after putting pan on burner.I've done scrambled, or just crack a whole egg (pierce the yolk)1.5 minutes each side. (Your kitchen equipment may be different.)You get a perfectly cooked square egg.They slide out. No mess.I have not tried any other food in here.I don't care. This makes perfect eggs and I am happy.Silicone spatula to initially break it loose.After that, egg slides off pan.The square pan is good for other things.The Flipwich is awesome for eggs.

The way it toasts and makes sandwiches better but after a couple years the handle broke off

I love this little sandwich-maker! I cook most meals at home due to various food restrictions, and appreciate being able to make grilled food so easily. So far, it has made wonderful grilled cheese, grilled ham and cheese, grilled PBJ (so awesome), and grilled tuna! It has also grilled chicken breast cutlets to perfection! I cook on a gas stove,so it heats fast and evenly. The handle is strong enough to compress a regular sandwich, just don't over-load. I cannot see how the plates COULD separate, so no problem there. Seasoning before use on the stove top was simple, nothing sticks, and clean-up is quick. Makes cooking for one so easy! Best kitchen tool I have bought in ages, wish I had found it long ago!

I was not impressed by the quality of this item. It works well but I will have to beef up the handles if I want it to last anytime. The one I received was obviously used. It had been repacked poorly, had paint scrapes, burner marks on one half, and the recipe book had food smears. I made toast, cheese sandwich, a hamburger, sausage and egg, and some square tortillas. It truly is non stick and very easy to clean. I used it on a regular glass top range, an electric hot plate, and a camp stove. worked well on all of them. I do like it but wish it was stronger.

I bought this as a gift for my father who loves toasted sandwiches. We had a microwave back in the day that had a toaster rack and it made the best melts ever because it would toast and microwave at the same time? This is a great little gadget! They make some very useful things these days. Dad loves it and he really likes being able to have the old easy to make sandwiches. The convenience is a huge selling point for this item! The only con I see is that it's sized for Wonder Bread. So larger slices won't fit unless you cut them before and do one half at a time. Not a big deal and it's really worth it to have grilled cheese on demand and without any extra butter or frying!

Great Idea for a Sandwich Pan. Well built solid and durable. Copper Ceramic inside coating; with steel Induction bottoms on each side. I use it to make up a batch (3~4) of thick Breakfast Sandwiches; bread, scrambled egg; meat, cheese, and fixings. Cut the finished sandwiches in half (it's now a Hand-Wich); and then I put the halves in a container in the refrigerator for a weeks supply of Breakfast Hand-Wiches. I was so excited to receive this pan i couldnt wait to use it i love copper pans and grilled cheese. When i received this pan i opened it and noticed the handle was scratched. But then in opened it all the way and there was red paint on the copper part and the metal piece. I am shocked cause its like they just painted horrible and didnt care. For as seen on tv things i didnt expect to get bad items as well. The part the it connects to is also loose. I am so afraid to use it cause of lead poisoning and god only knows what else they didnt to it that i cant see. I havent even used it yet so i cant say how it cooks.

Cabe solamente un Sándwich pan de caja, pero lo que me tiene impresionado es la calidad de su antiadherente, nada se queda pegado aún sin utilizar grasa, se pueden preparar sándwiches con queso en el exterior y quedará perfectamente dorado en las tapas del pan sin dejar residuos adheridos en la sartén.

Unit does as described, good alternative to a panini maker. I mainly use it for grilled cheese sandwiches or heating up regular sandwiches. For example, the grilled cheese. The buttered outside toasts nicely and the panini grill marks are real. It doesn't dry out the bread but there's a satisfying crunch when you cut it. The cheese contains itself in the bread however periodically cheese leaks out. When it's time to clean unit, the cheese comes off without much effort. Just wipe and rinse. When unit heats up, it spreads heat evenly. I haven't tried many other recipes yet however many possibilities. There's a little recipe book that comes with it containing half a dozen recipes. I use it on a glass top stove and it doesn't scratch my stove.

Qualität ungenügend. Der Stiel des Sandwich-Makers ist aus dünnem Aluminium, das sich beim Schließen verbiegt. Obwohl lediglich ein regulärer Toast mit weichem Brot getoastet wurde wurde der Stiehl bereits bei der ersten Benutzung verbogen. Folglich kann der Sandwich-Maker nicht zur Gänze geschlossen werden, der Toast spreizt die „Pfannenhälften“ auseinander. Werde das Produkt retournieren. Schade, der Rest sieht gut aus.

Excellent to make toastie. Easy to clean. Made with good quality materials. Induction hob compatible. Normal bread size slices.

Justo lo que buscabamos! Le cabe perfectamente un sanwich de tamaño regular, se calienta rapido y es mas recistente de lo que pensaba, ya que ya se le callo a mi mama y solo tuvo un pequeño raspon.
