## Overview

The SSIMDER TIG-200 is a compact, 2-in-1 TIG and MMA welding machine delivering up to 200 amps of DC power. Featuring advanced IGBT inverter technology, it ensures safety and durability while offering precise gas post-flow control to protect weld quality. Lightweight and beginner-friendly, it’s ideal for DIYers, automotive repairs, metal fabrication, and workshop use.

## Description

SSimder TIG-200I is a 2 in 1 DC TIG and Stick MMA inverter welder built for home garages, DIY and light fabrication. It is not an AC/DC machine and it does not weld aluminium. POWER AND SOCKET: 220V single phase, plus or minus 10 percent, 50/60Hz, so it runs on normal UK 230 to 240V mains. Effective input current is 13.4A, which is inside a standard UK 13A plug. Maximum input current at the full 140A output is 22.7A, so a 16A supply is the better choice for long continuous runs at maximum output. A 35A circuit is not required, and no electrician is needed for ordinary DIY use. DUTY CYCLE: 35 percent at 140A, 60 percent at 92A and 100 percent at 71A. At 140A that means three and a half minutes of welding in every ten, then let the machine cool. MMA mode has the same figures. WELDING CAPABILITY: DC TIG from 10A to 140A and Stick MMA up to 140A. Single pass thickness is 0.5mm to 3mm. Steel thicker than that needs a bevelled joint and several passes, because 140A does not penetrate 4mm or 6mm plate in one run. Lift TIG start means no high frequency, so there is no interference with WiFi or household electronics. Stick mode adds Hot Start for easy striking and Arc Force to stop the electrode sticking. GAS: TIG requires pure argon from a cylinder you supply. The box includes the gas hose but not the regulator, the cylinder or the tungsten electrodes. CO2 cannot be used for TIG because it destroys the tungsten electrode. MMA mode needs no gas at all. IN THE BOX: WP-17 air-cooled TIG torch, ground clamp, MMA electrode holder, gas hose and user manual. SPECIFICATIONS: 3.8kg net weight, 32 x 26 x 13cm, IGBT inverter, IP21S, insulation class F, power factor 0.7, efficiency 85 percent or better. Open circuit voltage 56V. Operating temperature -10 to 40 degrees C.

Arc welder Outstanding, if someone would tell me I could use this with 1.6 mm rods on 1.5 mm steel and yet it had enough power to use 2.4mm rods on 1/4 steel, I would never have believed them, it strikes an arc beautifully, very easy to use, in fact on 1/4 steel I had to turn it down, amazing little welder. If you was doing car body really you do need a mig welder, it is much quicker than Tig, the Tig for me really is so I can weld aluminium and braze smaller projects, the Arc welding side of it is outstanding Excellent value for money and ideal for someone who doesn't weld all the time, not too expensive to leave sat on the shelf Absolute brilliant buy, I am thrilled. To bits with it 10/10 for what it is. The only con is the Tig torch isn’t that good, also it doesn’t come with an argon regulator attachment but that said look at the price and accept you are buying a great little welder for buttons, I’ve used far more expensive welders that have under performed compared to their price

I am amazed with how well this little welder works, this tiny little unit works as well as 3 phase industrial welders I have used. I can gas, mig and arc weld, I have never used tig before and I don’t weld all the time so Tig welder It works very well The torch for the tig welder isn’t the best and you do need to purchase electrodes extra from the welder, I need a bit of guidance on setting up the electrode side, however I have done welding with the tig welder and there is plenty of power there, really I need thicker electrodes. Arc welder Outstanding, if someone would tell me I could use this with 1.6 mm rods on 1.5 mm steel and yet it had enough power to use 2.4mm rods on 1/4 steel, I would never have believed them, it strikes an arc beautifully, very easy to use, in fact on 1/4 steel I had to turn it down, amazing little welder. ### ⭐ The unit released it's 'factory smoke' after about 30-45 minutes of noncontinuous use...

I bought this welder about a month ago, primarily to carry out some small scale TIG work. I am hoping that this will trigger the seller to contact me as i wish to return it following it's catastrophic failure this afternoon. The welder has done a maximum of 45 minutes work on and off over a month. Following a short run on mild steel at 50A, the unit was sat idle while i turned of the argon. As i approached the unit to turn it off, i heard a 'whooshing' sound and huge amounts of white smoke pouring out of the unit's vents. I quickly pulled the plug and got out of my workshop. However, when it was functioning as expected, it did perform really well for a lift TIG machine. No idea how it performs as a stick welder, sadly it lost it's grip on usefulness before i got to test that function. I may have got a 'dud' (it happens), so if and when i hear from the seller and get a replacement i may change my feedback.
