This review is coming after 2 years of daily use of the Beyerdynamic Custom Game Headphones. They are definitely the most comfortable headphones out of the box that I have had. Before I settled on these I was a fan of the ASTRO A40 Gaming headset but the ASTRO Brand is horrible with customer service, and they are cheaply made having multiple issues for a headset that cost over a $150.00. So I dropped $200.00 on these Beyerdynamics on sale. They are made in Germany, every part of the headset is customizable yet perfect if you want to keep them as they are. The build quality is the best I have seen, sound was also amazing and far better than what I have used before. The only complaint I have is the cost of replacing the microphone being it is attached to the cord not the headphones. That makes the most vulnerable part of the headset not being easily replaced because they are $79.00 just to replace the mic and cord. I purchased these back in 2020 and they have been great up until I started noticing the microphone cable has a wire that is loose or broke connection and I doubt they have a warranty over 2 years. I will update once I speak with customer service to see if its still covered or if I am going to have to buy the $79 cord.

if you decide to have these warrantied at all, ONLY SEND THE HEADPHONES. I sent in the entire box plus what was shipped with it originally and I was robbed of cables that rendered the headphones useless till I purchased replacements.Headphones themselves are indeed tough and sound great!

El material de construcción es excelente en algunas partes y flojea en otras, al tener bastante metal se siente más robusto que los típicos auriculares gaming, aunque igual lleva bastante más plástico del que me gustaría. No es un plástico común por lo menos, y con eso se pierde sensación de calidad pero se gana ligereza, especial para largas sesiones de juegos viene bien.Lo más bueno de estos auriculares son su alta personalización, desde la estética con las imágenes de los costados, en esta versión solo trae 6 diseños algo feos, pero se puede comprar otros o incluso diseñarse uno mismo los suyos. También se puede personalizar los bajos, personalmente para mi gusto, al cerrarlos totalmente suenan saturados y poco natural, pero en el nivel 1 y 2 de apertura, suenan bastante planas las frecuencias, sin exagerados golpes y brillos.Los auriculares son realmente cómodos, se pueden usar por horas sin que generen molestias, pero por su precio esperaba un acolchado más grueso en la diadema, pero este es fácilmente intercambiable por otros si se prefiere. El acolchado de las orejeras son mejores sin duda, son muy suaves y viscoelasticas. La presión que hace es la justa, no aprietan ni son tan flojos como para que se muevan de su posición.Al tener cables intercambiables lo hace muy versátil, en mi caso busqué esta característica específicamente, porque ya he tenido problemas con los cables de otro 2 anteriores que tuve, por tirones accidentales en la PC. De esta forma se puede tener un cable con micrófono incorporado como el que viene incluido, de esta forma se ahorra bastante dinero por no necesitar comprar un micrófono de pedestal o los clásicos ModMic Antlion. Lo que no me gusta es el diseño clásico de beyerdynamic, de poner los cables que conectan las orejeras tan expuestos, me hacen sentir que muy fácilmente pueden engancharse con algo y romperse.Vengo de usar los Audio-Technica AD-900X, el cambio es fuerte entre auriculares abiertos por estos cerrados, con los anteriores se escucha todo más cristalino, pero con estos cerrados, mejora la sensación espacial de los sonidos. Con los AD900X ya era excelente la experiencia en juegos como CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege, Quake Champions, se sentían bien la dirección de los sonidos, y con estos mejoran en la profundidad o distancia de las que vienen, es más sencillo todavía realizar sprays a humos y paredes contra jugadores que hacen ruido.Lo que sí me llama mucho la atención, es que en las especificaciones indica que son de 16 ohms de impedancia, lo que me hacía esperar que funcionasen excelente con la tarjeta de audio de las placas bases o del gabinete, y de funcionar, funcionan, pero se escucha muy apagado y cuesta diferenciar las distintas frecuencias. Por lo que es recomendable usar un amplificador, en mi caso lo uso con unos FiiO E10K con la ganancia activa y el bass extra inactivo logrando un sonido impresionante.

The mic quality was better than what I'm used to. But I couldn't really tell how good the audio is between headphones of a similar price range... But the ability to adjust the audio with sound profiles is an interesting addition. The extra utility usage of mic mute & audio control are also very nice to use in practice.The only real gripes are that the the little opening where the microphone cable plugs into the headphones can gradually grind down the cable plug. The little slot thing to the right of the microphone plug itself. Though, this was a result of heavy & constant gaming. Eventually, it'll make it able to shake around, and force you to self-position the microphone plug more forcefully to fix tiny problems like only one side of the headphone letting out audio. The USB cable for both microphone & audio usage plug also suffered from heavy gaming, the plug part of it has gotten somewhat loose and it can easily bend into not functioning if you press down against it. But again, these problems are only a result of some gaming abuse.Overall, it compares well with similarly priced headphones, take a grab if you're interested in something new. The comfort & extra utility choices helps it match up against competitors in price.

I'll start with the reason that i'm giving this product a 2 star review, then move along to the things it does well.* I connect this device directly to a Samson Gtrack Pro microphone. It connects at the back via a 1/4" jack. Here is where the problem lies. I've owned this product for approx 2 weeks, and already, if the cable is not perfectly in place, the sound will cut out almost completely. I lose all sound in the Right headphone, and the left becomes tinny, fuzzy, and desaturated. It takes a full minute of re-positioning my cable for my sound to return to normal. [I've tested numerous headphones, and numerous jacks to isolate the problem, and i can confirm that it is indeed this product] This problem is exacerbated by the fact that the cable itself is of quite poor quality, and tends to twist and bind upon itself at the slightest provocation. Essentially you end up with a spider's nest of cable, that makes your sound prone to cutting out almost completely. Not exactly what i was expecting from this product.And here's why this is a shame.The noise reduction, and sound quality are excellent. If not for the technical problems, this would be an excellent and easily recommendable product. However, at present, the connection issue is a big red flag for me.I really want to give this 4.5/5 stars on sound quality alone, but i can't look past such an obvious defect.

Very comfortable for long gaming sessions. Very good audio with nice bass response. Great sound isolation if you has a noisy environment, I could bearly hear the misses at all. :)

Great set of headphones with a decent microphone and good isolation.Sound wise the mid lose their definition when the music gets busy.The ear pads faux leather is falling apart (see image) while everything else is holding firm after almost daily use since the purchase.

Excellent head set. Very comfortable , fits on big heads and the adjustable sound ports is a nice touch. Detailed with good seperation and richness. Plus one of the best mics I've heard on a headset. Very happy with my purchase. I've always been a fan of Beyerdynamic products.

Great headset, love the minimalistic cord with volume and mute control, would recommended to anyone who enjoys Beyerdynamic products!
