Replaced the stock casters on Steelcase Leap V2. 3" so they raised the overall level of the chair. Worked fine in my case as I had the spare room in desk height and the center post was getting close to the ground anyways, but it is something to be aware of. Wheels roll easy and quietly and pivot fine. The locking mechanisms are solid and fairly difficult to depress. If you're not diligent about finger placement when unlocking they will spring up and give your finger a hard pop. They also stick straight out. I used a razor knife to shave off the sharp edge left by molding. I only ever grazed my feet on them when getting up or sitting down once or twice, but the fear of jamming my Achilles or ankle bone on the lock led me to also order a set of non-locking ones just too be safe(r). So now I have one chair with 3 locking/2 non and one with 2 locking/3 non. Both roll nicely on laminate, hardwood, low shag carpet and foam anti-stress matting. Overall great deal and do what they need to do. Review: Does the job, I’m pleasantly surprised! - (First impressions review, will update if needed) I have a full sim rig I use to play racing games, however after a recent move I no longer have the space for it. I also need a wheeled office chair so I can easily move between my personal computer and workstation. This presents a problem, as a wheeled chair is very likely to move while pushing pedals and sawing on a steering wheel. I had been looking at office chair wheel chocks/stoppers when someone recommended locking casters instead. I’m glad I went this route, as it is a much more elegant solution and works surprisingly well. These specific wheels came out of the box with something of a funky synthetic smell, but so far that is my only complaint. They roll very smoothly, and with much less effort than the factory plastic wheels. The locks engage firmly and do a great job holding the chair in place on hardwood floors. ## Features - Floor Saver: These elastic polyurethane desk chair wheels help prevent scratches on hardwood, tile, and laminate floors while gliding smoothly without leaving marks; Each 3" caster rolls smoothly over carpet too, helping protect multiple floor types - Silent Glide: Shielded ball bearings inside each caster help reduce squeaking and rolling noise from your office chair wheels for smoother movement across different floors; Move through shared workspaces and late-night sessions with less disruption around you - Quick Install: Replace old caster wheels on your office chair quickly with no tools required; Simply pull out old casters and push in new ones for smoother, quieter rolling on computer and gaming chairs - Standard Stem: These office chair caster wheels use a standard 7/16" x 7/8" grip ring stem (11 mm x 22 mm) that fits most office chairs; Check your caster stem size before ordering — NOT compatible with IKEA chairs or non-standard mounts - Built Tough: Heavy-duty powder-coated carbon steel brackets inside these desk chair wheels support up to 650 lbs per set of five casters; Wear-resistant polyurethane casters withstand daily rolling while resisting deformation, cracking, or losing grip during daily use ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09G6DZ59K | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,697 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #4 in Stem Casters | | Brand | TICONN | | Brand Name | TICONN | | Caster Type | Stem | | Color | black | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 915 Reviews | | Included Components | 5 Chair Wheels | | Item Weight | 3.1 pounds | | Load Capacity | 650 pound | | Manufacturer | TICONN | | Material | Carbon Steel, Polyurethane (PU) | | Material Type | Carbon Steel, Polyurethane (PU) | | Model | Black with Brake | | Mounting Type | Stem Mount | | Part Number | TICONN - 398 | | Surface Recommendation | Multi-Surface | | Unit Count | 5 Count | | Wheel Diameter | 3 inches | | Wheel Width | 2 inches | ## Product Details - **Brand:** TICONN - **Color:** black - **Material:** Carbon Steel, Polyurethane (PU) - **Unit Count:** 5 Count - **Wheel Diameter:** 3 inches ## Images ![TICONN Office Chair Wheels, 3" Caster Wheels for Tile Carpets, Set of 5 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71YxH739gIL.jpg) ![TICONN Office Chair Wheels, 3" Caster Wheels for Tile Carpets, Set of 5 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71aocVI6NyL.jpg) ![TICONN Office Chair Wheels, 3" Caster Wheels for Tile Carpets, Set of 5 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71zZE1VEJqL.jpg) ![TICONN Office Chair Wheels, 3" Caster Wheels for Tile Carpets, Set of 5 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71cSpFtGFjL.jpg) ![TICONN Office Chair Wheels, 3" Caster Wheels for Tile Carpets, Set of 5 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71rXmzyPnhL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Do you use the breaks often, or can you do without the breaks? I'm doubting between the ones with the break and the ones without.** A: I do use at least one brake if I'm at my desk working on something. I slide away from my desk gradually if I don't. Also you can just nudged the one brake up when your ready to move again. **Q: Will these fit Herman Miller Aeron?** A: According to their site, these are the correct stem for the Herman Miller Aeron. 7/16" by 7/8" grip ring stem fastener which is what these are. These move so much better than twin wheels and are so much quieter and softer. Great upgrade. **Q: Will these fit the secretLab Titan chair?** A: Yea **Q: okay for exterior use ? (on a swimming pool reel)** A: I installed on rolling chair for garage and they work great on concrete with my 210 pounds. I also have a mechanical pool cover and I don’t see why they would not work if your cover is set up for that kind of coaster. These just pop in an exciting mount made for them (most stools or rolling chairs have these), you will need to see how they will install on your pool cover. They are tough and durable if you can install them. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great all around casters *by B***S on August 18, 2022* Great casters. I work in a machine shop and these handle the floor and mats we have. They are pretty heavy duty and perform well in a work environment. I was skeptical when I got them, however they have exceeded my expectations. I’ll be buying these for every roller chair I get in the future. They are easy to install very durable. I noticed immediately from the materials that it was a quality product. My office has carpet and these allow my chair to roll well in it where the original wheels of my chair did not. They also don’t make any noise. These are a necessity and for the price you really can’t ask for better. You certainly won’t find better. ## Frequently Bought Together - TICONN Office Chair Caster Wheels Set of 5 for Tile, Hardwood Floors and Carpets, Universal Fit for Most Chairs (Black with Brake) - COMHOMA Big and Tall Office Chair, High Back Leather Gaming Chair with Footrest, Executive Ergonomic Office Chair with Pocket Spring Lumbar Support and with Outward Fixed Soft Armrests --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/450805839-ticonn-office-chair-wheels-3-caster-wheels-for-tile-carpets](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/450805839-ticonn-office-chair-wheels-3-caster-wheels-for-tile-carpets) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
