I was running a 12V transfer pump rated at 120 gallons per hour, so I needed a filter that could handle higher flow than standard marine filters—and this one did just that. Most options I found had much smaller fittings and would’ve choked the system. This unit has 1” NPT top ports, which I reduced down to 5/8” ID hose to maintain flow without restriction. It filtered the fuel continuously for hours without a problem. The clear bowl on the bottom is a huge bonus. I could visibly see the water it trapped, and when it was time to drain it, the bottom valve let me release it in a slow, controlled drip—no mess, no rush. I was able to empty the water without wasting fuel. Tightened it back up, and the system kept running. Between the water separation and the debris it caught, this thing made a noticeable difference in fuel clarity. It kept up with the high GPH without backing up and didn’t miss any debris or water. Definitely impressed. Also worth noting: after I used it, a buddy of mine with a boat asked if he could borrow it after hearing how well it worked. Says a lot.
