It protects the outdoor unit and looks good while doing it. I do like the fact they have created it from multiple copies of the same casting, nice bit of engineering there, but it’s way overpriced for what it is. It’s has the option of mounting via screws (supplied) or you can cable tie (also supplied) it to a gutter down pipe. The cable ties are a bit low quality though as by my own not paying attention I put it on upside down so needed to release the cable ties and they broke. Would have been better to have reusable ones supplied, but it’s installed and giving protection to the outdoor unit. If I had a 3d printer I’d have just printed an enclosure but until then this is the best option.
