Retique ItChalk Furniture Paint by Renaissance DIY, 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), 58 Venetian Red, 16 Ounce

I recently just finished my Oak kitchen cabinets with Renaissance Chalk Paint in Old Linen. I had done lots of research and decided to try this product and so happy that I did! I did not want a super white color and Old Linen was exactly what I was looking for. I'm so ready to try more projects with this paint! Also Renaissance Paint was very responsive to any questions/inquiries I had. Great customer service!Brightened my kitchen up so much and I love it!

I paint lots of furniture and have tried many kids of chalk paint. This is by far my favorite so far.. I love the consistency and coverage. No bad smells and easy to distress. Will be ordering more colors!

I absolutely love this paint! The Ivory is a tiny bit darker than I hoped, but I still love it! I was going to get annie Sloan, but the price for a quart is about $15 more than this brand, so I decided to try it out and I'm so happy that I did! I have tons of other furniture I plan on refinishing and will definitely be going with this brand again. I was able to refinish my entire piano with 1 quart of this (every last drop was used!). My piano was SUPER dark and I was nervous that I'd need 3 coats, but 2 coats was perfect! I've added a before and after pic of my piano that I refinished.

Loved this paint! It was my first time using a chalk paint and I am hooked. So much easier to not sand and prime your work first. I painted some old endtables using Ivory Tower because the Snow White seemed to white for creating an antique look, which I was aiming for. I will post pictures for color reference. I ordered the dark wax but after I distressed the table I didn't feel the need to use it as the dark wood came through nicely already.What I learned::I would NOT wax the item before distressing ever again. I wasted a lot of clear wax. I painted 2 coats (it was plenty), clear waxed, distressed the tables & then clear waxed again because it was "suggested" but it was a waste of wax and I had to order more. To me, the wax protects the item better from harsh distressing but it created obvious unwaxed areas where I had distress the wood making me have to really go back and wax those specific areas then again wax the whole piece to make it even. In the future, I will just distress lightly then wax after I was finished to seal & protect the item. Again still a beginner but I read a lot of reviews and I hope this helps!

Amazing product! I redid all my kitchen cabinets in old linen. The paint is fantastic only needs 2 coats. Finished with the clear wax and antiqued with the dark wax. I was so confused and did a lot of research and I am very happy I sealed with the was even though I do a lot of cooking....the cabinets clean up beautifully with mild cleanser. Highly recommend it!! Best chalk paint I have used hands down. The only prep I did was warm water with a little bit of mild soap to wash any residue off the wood and let dry for a few minuets. The piece I wanted to redo has been in the family for over 50 years and I was a little worried if I would ruin it. However, the paint went on smooth and is a full coverage paint. I originally thought I was going to have to do two coats because the wood was almost a dark cherry, but only had to do one coat! The paint drys flat but once you put the clear wax it was super smooth with a slight shine. Then I added the dark wax to antique the piece. The best part is that if you mess up or put too much dark wax, you can go over it with clear wax again. I cannot wait to do the other four pieces to this bedroom set! Also, my neighbor loved the piece when it was done and now wants to do her kitchen cabinets with this paint as well. (see the before and 2 after pictures)

Excellent product! I have used it to paint cabinets and it looks fantastic! Easy to use and really nice coverage - I do recommend using a primer and giving the cabinets a good clean beforehand. Saved myself $$$$.
