HPS700 Pro 2.5 256GB SATA III 3D NAND TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) 2AP98AA#ABL

HP has developed their own SSD drive, to ramp up the response time, from HDD to SDD hard drive operations. However, they have not done anything, past creating an SSD, to make this performance lucrative. Buying an HP SSD just means you have and SSD in your system. They have done nothing to shore up SSD trimming, performance enhancement, or to make it easy to transfer data from the existing HDD to their SDD drive. My advice, considering that I build antiquated systems into new systems, is to forget purchasing this (P.O.S.) solid state drive and shoot towards installing a SMASUNG 860 EVO into your system, to really step it up, and have the needed application software to really make your system hum.I have installed and transferred data from hard drive disks, to include Samsung Evo, (SP) Silicone Power, Kingston SSD, Crucial SSD, OCZ 100 SSD, and ADATA solid state drives. Samsung blows them all away, but I do give kudos to OCZ, as they also provide a trimming/performance application, which monitors and appends the solid state drive for performance enhancement. They also allow for system cloning to make it easy form system transfer to the SSD.Bottom line is this, HP's SSD is total junk and I wouldn't waste your time, or money, on such an irritable and antagonizing piece of junk. No clone ware, no performance software, and no trimming performance software. Total Junk.

This product works very well and made my PC much quicker to turn on and to use from program to program. No more noise from the mechinical hard drive that came installed in my PC. The PC is much quieter and quicker. I chose to up grade the hard drive to the SSD first rather than the memory. This S700 Pro 2.5" Sata III 3 D Nand from HP was less expensive than it was to buy memory. I made the right choice in buying the SSD and eventually I will replace the memory but for now the PC is much better and quicker and effecient with out up grading the memory beyond 8GB. My system runs windows 10 and came with a 1 TB mechanical hard drive with 8 GB memory. I swopped out and put in the 256 GB SSD and the PC is really doing much better.

Wasn't expecting the drive to work so well, but after finding the Samsung SSD wasn't compatible with my USFF computer I was pointed to this...even the little i3 thermal throttled machine sped up. I recommend at least 200GB for a SSD. (those 100-120 just fill up too fast and if you check the stats you'll notice they are slower, yet the 480-512 are usually faster but for a basic system I'm not sure if you'd feel the difference.

Used with Xbox one first edition to speed it up externally. Works well. Get a good external hard drive source with gold chips to ensure fastest speed. This inateck one is the cheapest for best price.

Fast SSD I have 4 HP SSD of different model the all work flawlessly. I recommend the S700 Pro the Pro version is slightly quicker and should last more duty sickle in theory.

I;m satisfied with the product that I received. Boot time improved a lot.

Exactly what we needed.

This did speed up my computer.

I swapped the hard drive in my laptop with this SSD after numerous “Disk Full” errors caused by Windows 10.Added to an upgrade in RAM, the five year old laptop is performing as well or better than the nearly new laptop I have at work.I did not do the installation myself, but that was a 30 minute job for the tech guy near my office.Well worth the investment.
