So, I've got this thing and here are a few thoughts.If you buy this model, be aware that it's not good on arrival. Windows loading time is really long, Seagate Barracuda HDD that is installed inside is not intended to be Win10 boot drive. The system comes with a lot of bloatware that doesn't help either. The battery is built in (don't know if it's a norm for modern laptops). The speakers are just bad; they are quiet and the Nahimic driver seems to worsen the problem, also the sound quality is quite disappointing (compared with my previous HP DV7). Also it's worth mentioning that sturdiness of the display could be better (it's quite easy to bend it, especially middle bottom part).What completely changes the performance of this laptop is installation of an SSD (and installing a clean version of Windows there). Loading time of the system dropped from ~2min to ~15 seconds, loading time of programs is also incomparable. But be aware that doing that will break the warranty, so if you're used to rely on it, my advise is to consider another model.So to sum it up:Cons: slow without an SSD, plenty of bloatware, bad speakers, flimsy display, built in battery, installing additional stuff breaks the warranty.Pros: M2 SSD slot (that allows this laptop to shine), additional RAM slot (if you want more than 8GB), good CPU, really easy disassembly (just unscrew all visible screws and then one additional under the 'factory seal' label).In general I'm satisfied with the purchase cause I've bought an SSD simultaneously with the laptop and for the money it's a good deal.

There is a Factory seal on the back cover, so if you want to upgrade memory or install SSD, you have to remove it. Does it affect warranty? Dont know.

Bought it for my son. He uses it for video editing. It's fast and reliable and has a great display. It has a proper touch pad with separate left/right click buttons, which I really like. The letters on the keyboard are a strange font and take some getting used to. Minus 1 star because the lid/display is quite flimsy.

Average computer, average quality. If you want to run Windows10 you will HAVE TO upgrade the RAM (at least double it) or you won't get any work done. This computer is consistent with price, but there is absolutely nothing noteworthy or remarkable about it. If you have the budget, I'd recommend stepping up to a higher tier product. Also, I own a dozen laptops including 2 of these MSI laptops of the same model and specification. All my other laptops that run Windows10 run fine and don't crash, ever. These MSI laptops however do crash on Windows10 from time to time, which is annoying. I am guessing it's hardware compat/issues. We are running the latest drivers & patches on the MSI laptops in every respect.

If u don’t have a Solid State Memory, it’s super slow

I received this laptop and from day one it wasn't working correctly. I had a previous MSI laptop that I loved. It took7 months until my son checked out the computer to find:1.- Laptop is VERY slow and according to his expertise, it should not be so slow.2.- The Operating system was not working properly.3.- Screen blacks out.I was frustrated and spend $70 mailing the unit back. When it came back again VERY slow. Apparently the operating system is OK.The MSI team did a prompt job with the operating system but still SLOW. When I bought the unit the reviews were good, now the reviews are bad. Don't understand this.I have to be honest to say Mr. Kelvin from MSI Tech support was great. Personal and fast customer service. I give him a TEN!Life is short and my warranty will expire soon so I decided to let go of this laptop and be happy.

Super light plastic construction, feels like a sneeze could break it. Had to do a full system restore less than a day after opening the box as it got stuck on the updates and never recovered. Hopefully it gets better over time...

Recomiendo cambiar el disco duro para mejorar el desempeño de forma exponencial, aun tres años después el procesador que trae i7-7700HQ le da batalla a maquinas del 2020, fue una muy buena compra.

La pila se descargaba muy fácil, después de una actualización parece que se acomodó. De ahí en más todo bien

El único detalle que le veo en contra es el echo de que el teclado no sea retroiluminado.Al realizar un upgrade del disco que trae de fabrica por un SSD, el rendimiento aumenta aún mas de forma espectacular.Por el precio es un gran equipo.Va fantastico en Linux..

Demasiadas actualizaciones,muy lenta.el Windows 10 se actualiza mucho y la informacionnque quiero meter desde mi respaldo en el disco duro externo va muy lento.mtodo el día y no he podido completarla
