Review: Good - Held good
Review: Worked on my older F150 with the 4.9L carbureted engine - I used the Fel-Pro VS 50028 R blue silicone gasket on my 1984 F150 "Bullnose" with the carbureted 4.9L 300 I6 ( straight six ) and it was an identical match and I have no leaks. These trucks after sitting a few months if not driven regularly can bend a pushrod like mine did when it was trying to pressurize the old hydraulic lifters. These silicone gaskets are reliable for re-using multiple times unlike the crappy cork gasket material. The only valve cover and oil pan gaskets you can find for the 1980-1986 F Series trucks with the 4.9L straight six are cork. So I said screw that and bought the silicone gasket and the cork. When I laid the blue silicone on top of the cork one they were identical. Just in case someone else was wondering the same thing I was. See attached pictures.
