The strip is about 3ft x 20ft and after a year of use it was starting to get a strong ammonia smell to it. We have been careful to pickup solid waste quickly and hose it down thoroughly every week or two, but that was no longer working very well and our dog was not wanting to step foot on the turf.For the first treatment I intentionally over-treated and used almost half the bottle. I then saturated the turf with plain water after that. The next day there was absolutely no smell other than the light fragrance left by the product. To use it once and say it does not work would be like saying you only have to flush once.I have used the granular stuff you sprinkle and 4 different brands of spray. As soon as the temp hits 90, with the sun directly on the grass, the smell begins. When the sun sets the smell is gone. Make sure you pay attention to the amount that is going out and not getting a full even application on the whole area. The fragrance is nice and the next day....wowzer...yes the odor will be apparent, but it did settle down on the next day. But I guess it just means the product was working. So don't freak out and say it didn't work and smelled. Reading the instructions and these reviews will help you make a better decision in my opinion.
