Review: Better than Quip - For the past five years, I’ve been using a Quip electric toothbrush and was pretty devoted to it, but this Oral-B 7500 blows the Quip out of the water. I was honestly shocked at how much better the Oral-B cleans my teeth. I guess not all electric toothbrushes are created equal, lol. PROS - Cleans MUCH better than the Quip. - No AA batteries to throw out. - Love the two-minute timer. You can use the Oral-B app to subdivide the timer into 4 or 6 sections (30 seconds each or 20 seconds each, respectively). - Love the size of the brush heads; more nimble & better reach than Quip. - The pressure sensor light is great for in-the-moment feedback. - The variety of brushing modes is excellent and gives this brush versatility. - Comes with a travel case and storage tray for extra brush heads. CONS - Brush handle arrived scratched on the front. This could have easily been prevented with a plastic sleeve, which, incredibly, Oral-B put over the travel case but not over the brush handle. 🙄 - Loud motor, especially compared to the near-silent Quip. Can’t listen to podcasts while brushing my teeth anymore. But that’s okay, I guess, because I use the Oral-B app while brushing now. - Takes a LONG time to charge (10 hours). - Instruction manual doesn’t explain the different icons & brushing modes. You have to download the app to see what they are. But I’ll explain them to you now. WHAT EACH ICON MEANS - Tooth: “daily clean” mode - Tooth with plus sign: “pro clean” mode - Diamond: whitening mode - Feather: sensitive mode - Wavy lines: gum-care mode - Tongue: tongue-cleaning mode BRUSHING MODES Not gonna lie, the intensity of the “daily clean” mode (tooth icon) seemed aggro at first, especially compared to the Quip’s super gentle vibration. So for now, I am only using the “sensitive” mode (feather icon) while I am getting used to this new brush. I’m sure I will be able to graduate to the “daily clean” mode in a week or two. THE APP You really do need to download the Oral-B app to get the most out of this toothbrush. The app is excellent and lets you change a ton of settings on the brush, like the timer, ring light color, goals, and more. It also tracks your history, flossing, mouthwash use, and brush head replacement schedule. The app also offers challenges, brushing journeys (ex., plaque busting, bad breath), and “medals” to strive for if you want to adopt healthier brushing habits. Importantly, you can use the app to disable any of the individual brushing modes so that it only cycles through the ones you want. You can also reorder them so that the brush automatically starts on your preferred mode. I only have the sensitive and tongue-cleaning modes enabled at the moment, and I can switch between them by pressing the down arrow on the brush handle. The only downside to the app is that the position detection (using your phone’s front-facing camera) doesn’t work very well. I turned that off and instead just use the regular guided-brushing mode, which shows a timer on the screen. SUMMARY Overall this is a fantastic toothbrush, and despite the minor downsides, I am thrilled with it and genuinely shocked at how much better it cleans than the Quip. Glad I bought it. ** UPDATE, six months later, May 2023 ** I just got back from the dentist today, and my hygienist told me, “Wow, your teeth are extremely clean! You have great oral hygiene.” I told her I had switched from the Quip to the Oral-B, and she nodded knowingly and said it’s obvious when a patient has started using either an Oral-B or a Sonicare. I’ve found that I prefer different brushing modes for different brush heads. I’m still mostly using the “sensitive” mode (feather icon), but I do switch it up with the “daily clean” mode (tooth icon). I haven’t used the “pro clean” mode (tooth with plus sign) because, well, I’m kind of a sensitive person, and the noise the Oral-B makes is already loud enough. The “gum care” mode is nice if you floss too enthusiastically one day and need to take it easy the next day. I am still highly impressed with this toothbrush, and I enjoy using it every day.
Review: Absolutely Worth It - Dental care in the U.S is quite expensive, so of course, it is best to do everything you can to prevent footing a billion dollar bill at the chair! I chose this one for affordability, quality, and overall ease of use. An electric toothbrush is a fantastic investment, but I just did not want to spend $200 on a toothbrush that could fly, lol! For about $100 (in the black color), I have all the brushing options I need, the bluetooth app, and the ability to see how much coverage I get with each brush!. The app also gives you medals for completing goals and I've had great joy completing them. I have seen such an improvement in my teeth with just a few months of use, especially in the realm of plaque reduction. It's very powerful, gets the job done, and best of all not tooooo expensive. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quality electric toothbrush that won't cost a grocery bill. It comes with the toothbrush, 3 brush heads, charger station, a small case to put your brush heads (highly recommend removing the heads and placing them in the case after each use, makes it easier to clean), and of course the manual/instructions!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How is the Oral b 7500 different than the Oral b 7000?**
A: Our 7500 Brush is exclusively sold on Amazon, whereas our Black 7000 Brush can be found at multiple retailers. 7500 comes with a CrossAction, Floss Action and 3D White Brush Head, while our 7000 model comes with a CrossAction, 3D White, and Sensitive Gum Care Brush Head- 7500 focuses on whitening your teeth and improving gum health, and our 7000 focuses on removing up to 300% more plaque along your gum line. Our 7500 Brush has a programmable 360 degree SmartRing with LED lights to customize your brushing experience. It also comes with a travel case, while our 7000 Brush comes with a premium travel case and our SmartGuide, which is our two minute timer that gives you real-time information about your brushing activity. 7500 also has a Lithium-Ion Battery, which is our longest lasting battery, whereas our 7000 model has our NiMH (Nickel-metal hydride) battery. It also takes 22 hours to fully charge and will give you up to 10 days of brushing. 7500 takes 12 hours to charge and will give you up to 12 days of brushing.

**Q: Why buy oral b pro when there are other electric toothbrushes that have great reviews for a fraction of the price?**
A: For me, the dentist sold me on a Triumph many years ago and it was a solid performer so perhaps its now brand loyalty. I would pay a premium for something that just works and works well which Oral-b has done for all in the family. The heads are great and I like them better than the competitor's type plus easier for our kids to use. Now, as for this toothbrush, it has a lithium battery which makes it worthwhile. As for cheaper Oral-b brushes vs something like this, you get more power, the battery and perhaps some features. My wife was amazed by how much better it worked vs the cheap ~$30 models. As for pricing, I would never pay there retail for these things and you can get them much cheaper if you wait or shop around. These are like ink jet printers as far as I am concerned and they get you on the heads so they should discount the base units consistently vs having to wait and jump through hoops with coupons and codes. Ask your dentist if they have any deals on the 6000, 7500 or 8000 if your looking for lithium, otherwise look at a 3000 or 5000 which would be a good entry point.

**Q: can I recharge the Braun 7500 where electric is 220/240w?**
A: Unfortunately the one that is included with this product here in the U.S. is for 110 Volt 50/60Hz only! If you buy this same product like in Singapore, it will have a 220V recharger only !!

**Q: How many handle included in this package?**
A: What you you mean by handle? There is only 1 main, 3 refills brushes, traveler box, 1 charger with side container. Exactly like the picture shown. Hopefully this would help.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Electric Toothbrush!
*by B***A on November 14, 2020*

We have some Oral-B Pro 1000 units. One of them died, when the battery got too old to take a charge. I was going to buy the same moe for about $40, but caught this one on a one day sale for $90. Since it has multiple modes, supposedly a better battery and some accessories like a charging dock and travel case, I figured I'd give it a shot (Oral-B does offer a 60 day satisfaction guarantee). The unit comes with three brush heads: Cross Action, 3D White, and Floss Action. The 7500 cleans very well, and has 6 different modes as well as the ability to set a timer for 2 minutes or 30 second intervals. It has an LED ring at the neck which is white but will change red if you apply too much pressure. It charges reasonably fast (a couple of hours the first time) and holds its charge great. The charger itself is the standard Oral-B unit but fits onto a covered case which holds 4 heads. The cord is about 3 feet. The travel case is white plastic, and holds a brush and two heads. The modes are as follows: * Daily Clean * Pro-Clean (Deep Clean on older models) * Sensitive * Whitening * Gum Care * Tongue My sole complaint about 7500 is the user manual. It is written for multiple models, so while some mode icons are obvious (a tongue for tongue cleaning), you are left to guess the others. They are: * Daily Clean - No icon lit except for power and bluetooth lights * Pro-Clean - Tooth with a + sign * Sensitive - Feather * Whitening - Diamond * Gum Care - "Waves" * Tongue - Tongue The 7500 also is bluetooth, so you can download the Oral-B app on your phone and use it to monitor your brushing habits. The app works decently enough and the bluetooth connectivity seems consistent. I consider the app a nicety, not something I need to know if I brushed for 2 minutes. It will remind you to change brush heads too. Overall, I don't know that this cleans that much better than the 1000 but I like the extra battery life and having a few more modes.
