Review: Perfect for your little builders! - I ordered this as a Christmas present for my boys. They LOVE it! They really enjoy building (Legos, Mega Blocks, etc) so after much searching for another building type toy for diversity, I settled on Zoobs. We all love the versatility of Zoob pieces because they fit together in so many different ways. We all also really enjoy the movement of the connected pieces, so when they build a figure they can actually move the structure into different positions (unlike Legos or blocks) since Zoob is designed as ball and joint pieces. Articulated figures means re-playability, there's always something new to build and move about in various ways. Also, I have toddlers, and as parents know, toddlers love to stick every possible thing in their mouths. So, I don't worry about Zoobs being forgotten on the living room floor as much as I would Lego pieces. Zoobs are just awesome, of all the Christmas toys, definitely the favorite. I will most certainly order more sets so the kids don't have to deconstruct their creations to build new ones. Highly recommend!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you build this and then take it apart and build something else with the pieces?**
A: Yes. It works similar to Legos where you can create several different robots with the instructions provided, or make your own thing. My son (5 years old) loved it.

**Q: Are there actually gears included in the set?  All the zoob sets say they have gears, but I have not seen any in pictures.**
A: This set that I got last year had a "base" to build a vehicle or robot onto with wheels. It worked by pulling back and letting it go, so not battery operated. It had one piece with red lights to attach for eyes or whatnot that uses batteries. Learning ALL the different ways zoobs click together took a little while. 
I loved that the base worked without any batteries. We've made cars and robots and all sorts of things with this zoob set and let them roll. The light up eyes weren't always used. Very nice set. My son's preschool has zoobs too. Building with these is still happening after a year.

A: no

**Q: Is it at least 12 inches tall?**
A: You can build something 12 inches, but he actual pieces are not 12 inches.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent customer service.

Ok, to get the elephant in the room out of the way with: Honestly, as a parent who, as a child, used to play with building toys quite a bit, I actually don't think these are all that fun to play with -- at least, not for my own building style. The joints flex with mild pressure, and thus, it's difficult to get anything to hold its shape unless you are quite delicate when you handle what you've built. My son seems to like them a lot though, (and after all, it's his opinion that really counts,) and I would say he returns to the Zoobs with regularity that justifies the purchase. I don't think they get quite the playing time that "a certain popular brand of stackable nubbed building bricks" gets, but let's face it, the latter are a bit more versatile. What I like about the Zoobs is that they interconnect in ways that are somewhat unconventional; ball-and socket joints and fitted reciprocal joints, and the interlocking pieces that can cross in the center, for example. This changes it up quite well from the normal right-angle brick stacking. I also like that the pieces are relatively large, which means they don't get lost among carpet fibers or fall into heating ducts. Lastly, I, too, have a customer service experience to relate: The blinking robot eye piece was defective, and I wrote to the company. They replied to my email and shipped me a new one the next day, and I received the replacement in less than a week. The replacement has worked correctly so far. You can't really ask for better customer service than that. Props to "InfiniToy". If my son is still playing with these in a year, I would definitely consider adding to his collection next holiday season, as this is clearly a good company to deal with.
