The wood handle adds 4.5 inches or so to the overall length. The flat of the flipper part is 4 inches, plus another 1.5 inches where it bends. Corners rounded but edge square & rough.** A: J, mine arrived with smooth edges all the way around the blade. The corners were rounded and blade end edge was slightly beveled and smoothed.
