I've use it to make a number or nested bends with stepped diameters, for example, and I found it was fairly straight-forward to make repeatable bends with very little effort. All the components fit as they were intended to fit, and the moving parts move smoothly. The bending bar was a little loose on the pin, but not bad. I suspect some reviewers who complained about the fit may have missed the set screw that anchors the pivot pin. Also, some people complained that the tool came packaged with oil. To me this is a plus. Carb cleaner and a rag takes care of that. (At least it wasn't dry cosmoline). In my case, it would have been nice to have an assortment of additional (larger diameter) spacers, but I believe most people will do just fine with the 4 smaller diameters included.
