Wheels that will give you a little more speed
—Update— I recently broke a spoke and have been trying to contact customer service to get a replacement spoke sent out. It has been a nightmare trying to get a hold of someone. This brand does not have a direct number to call.If you're looking at these wheels, then most likely you are looking to gain speed and know how crazy expensive wheels can be and are not wanting to spend the money on top of the line wheels. For the price, I took a chance on these wheels and have ridden a whole year with them on my bike. I ride with guys that have the expensive wheels and the weight of these wheels are almost identical. Comparing cost, I could buy six sets off these wheels before I spent what they spent on the expensive set off wheels. For me, I want speed am ok with not having name brand on my bike.Only downside is the inner tube connector got jammed up on me, so I took it to a bike store and replaced where I could tighten and loosen the stem from the outside. The extender that comes with the wheels goes over top of your stem on the tube. At one point it wasn't taking (or loosing) air. Other than that, they've been great. I am extra cautious with hitting pot holes. I did have a flat on the back tire but that was because I hit a big pot hole during the Ironman. lastly, these wheel do not come with a cassette for your back wheel. So you would need to buy a new one, or switch out your old one.To summarize, I'm getting the same speed as my friends who have brought the expensive wheels. My wheels may wear out quicker but for I know I prob have a few thousand miles on them and they are holding up just fine.

First 100 Miles Reduced Anxiety of Purchase
BIke: 2009 Kuota K-Factor SL UltegraTires: WTB ThickSlick Race Tire, 700x23Valve Extenders: Continental Conti Valve Extender 60mmBIke and Rider Fully Loaded for Support Ride (see below): 241 poundsBicycle With Nutrition Gels, Tools, Spares, And 4 Full Water Bottles: 17.4 poundsMe With Riding Gear And Medical Supplies: 202.6 poundsBought this wheelset to replace the Giant SLR 1 55MM Aero Carbon Road Wheels that were on the bike. The bike was a hand-me-down but the previous owner wanted the wheels back for a race. I was hesitant to purchase these due to quality concerns, but after reading reviews and knowing there is a warranty on the wheelset, I took the plunge. As of today (18/AUG/18) I have 105 miles on the wheelset - 30 miles on smooth bike surfaces (Michigan State metro park) and 75 miles on Detroit roads. If you do not know much about Detroit roads, they are filled with large cracks, deep potholes, and various sharp road hazards. Today I was a bicycle medic for a large group ride - I definitely hit many of the cracks, potholes, and road hazards as I was paying attention to the health and welfare of the riders. Needless to say, the wheels held up, supporting up to 241 pounds of total weight.I have the same feedback as many other users - they sound "light" and "hollow" while rolling on smooth roads, but that is expected on deep-profile carbon wheels. Around the 5.5 mile loop I do for training rides at Belle Isle, my times are 10-15 seconds slower than the Giant SLR 1 wheelset. This is not a fair comparison as I was running 700x25 Duraskin tires that may have lower rolling resistance than the WTB ThickSlick Race Tires I was testing. Also, there is a large crosswind at portions of the loop so that may have affected my times. In short, so far I am satisfied with this wheelset. I give them a 5/5 star rating for now. I will continue to update as I put more miles on the set.

Rolls on the flats better than the standard rims
Replaced my original OVAL 327 wheels perfectly. Mounted the tires and rear cassette as needed. I have a Sunrace 11 speed cassette and it fit perfectly. Wheels were true when arrived, spokes were checked and tight. Make sure you get the valve extension for the 88mm rim. Cross winds make the ride interesting, very controllable if you pay attention. Rolls on the flats better than the standard rims. Sounds are weird and hollow when riding but the aerodynamics were well worth the upgrade. Can't go wrong with this Carbon Fiber set. Did not use the pads and bought better ones on Amazon. Braking works as well as the old rims haven't noticed any difference. PS.....I have already over 80 miles on these wheels are still going strongUPDATE: Had these for a little over a year now, 2500 miles later and about 12 replaced nipples. Seems the "alloy" nipples DO NOT hold up well. Noticed VCYCLE has a 2 year warranty and also noticed they DO NOT cover the nipples and consider them a "consumable" item. I have emailed them but I am sure the warranty will NOT cover the broken nipples. These break in half and I weigh under 195lbs, ride 25-50 per day. The local bike shop has been replacing the nipples with brass ones and they seem to hold up. If I had to order again I would go with the TT wheels and get rid of the spokes. I guess I will see what VCYCLE's warranty will do for me now. At this time I am replacing one nipple on the front and rear for the 4th time.UPDATE: So far I have email to VCYCLE and received NO RESPONSE. Not sure about this manufacturer if they will not reply to emails sent to them. I still like the wheels but it looks like plan on replacing ALL the nipples with BRASS ones to keep the wheels on the bike. I am replacing these wheels with TT wheels that have no spokes. I like the aerodynamics of the wheels set and will be staying with at least the 70mm wheels.Update Again: I emailed VCYCLE and still haven't received any response. If I had to do this again I would not order these wheels and go with TT wheels instead. In fact I have already ordered my TT wheelset and when they arrive I will be getting rid of these. I just received them back from the LBS with 2 new nipples. Almost have all of them replaced by now...LOL Vcycle should at least respond to emails.!!! Downrated to 2 STARS for NO response.
