A bit finicky, but another solidly built ASUS motherboard
This is a very well built motherboard. I have had great success with ASUS motherboards over the years. This is probably my 20th or so build over the years, many of them using ASUS parts. I have never really had major problems with any of them. And, this was no exception. But, I said major problems. The first thing that happened with this build is when I plugged in the front panel USB connectors on my case, I got an over-current warning from the BIOS and the system shut itself down after a 15 seconds. I have had two other motherboards in this (HTPC) case, and I know that both the front panel connectors work, so I am not sure what the issue is there. So, I bought a 3.5" front panel USB 3.0 panel that fit the case, and bypassed the problem. Then, I thought all was well. But, a few days later I realized that the 1Gbps network connection negotiates down to 100Mbps. It is a longish Cat5 cable, perhaps 50', but well within the specified parameters of 1Gbps over Cat5 (100 meters/83 feet). It goes through walls and I don't want to pull another. The board before this one, and the board before that both had no problems with that cable. My solution was to install a 1Gbps switch at the end of the cable and that also works fine at 1Gbps.The other thing, echoing others, is only one chassis fan header. I knew that going in so I can't complain. But, who builds a case nowadays with a single fan? ASAS needs to understand their customer base a bit better. Custom builders almost always have at least two fans, even those using microATX form factor motherboards which often have high power usage chips on them.Still, at the end of the day a solid board with which I have had no major issues. Recommended, but not as highly as other ASUS boards I have used in the past.

BIOS not updated for Ryzen 2000 apu processors
Heads up if you plan to use this motherboard with the AMD Ryzen 3 2000 series apu processors - without a BIOS update IT WILL NOT BOOT. And you can't update the BIOS if it won't boot. ASUS customer help is pretty useless. As a workaround AMD is sending out a "boot kit", with the last generation A-series apu processor, for users to install, update the BIOS, then remove and re-install the Ryzen apu. I, along with countless other people, have submitted requests for this "boot kit", but who knows how long it will take. I will update this review when it comes and if it works, however I'd recommend either waiting or buying a motherboard that is confirmed to work. As of now, there aren't many.Update - ASUS was willing to update the bios, if I shipped it to them at my cost and it would take 7 to 10 days, not including shipping time. To be fair, this wasn't their problem. Luckily, AMD owned up to it and I received their boot kit, an A6-9500 processor, a week after submitting my request. With the A6 processor in place the board booted and posted like it should. Updating was easy with the bios ez flash tool and an ethernet cable connected to the internet, but it also gave the option to update from a storage device. After a short download and install it rebooted and was updated to version 3803. After a quick swap out of the processors, the motherboard went "who's this guy?" for a few seconds, but then recognized it and booted up normally. Installed Windows 10 from a usb flash drive and it's been working fine so far.

Worked okay at first, then went downhill.
Bios wasn't updated for a 2400G raven ridge (ordered beginning of March for those interested), but I was expecting this and updated it with a bootkit from AMD. No stars removed for this, just an FYI for those looking for boards that have been updated already.Overclocking the CPU and GPU (well, the integrated graphics of the APU) was okay at first. Passed stress testing easy enough (1.33V @ 3.9 Ghz, 1.2V for the APU @ 1520) with no issues. When it came time to do RAM overclocking, everything went downhill. I was using RAM from the QVL and couldn't get it to boot above 2666 mhz (rated @ 3200). Okay, it's Ryzen, RAM support is difficult so while disappointed, I wasn't holding this against the motherboard, even though it was listed on the QVL and should have worked with no issue then!Shortly after this, the board would no longer boot in the BIOS. Would skip straight to windows. Removed all power, removed the battery, cleared the CMOS, held the power button down to discharge the capacitors. Got it to boot into the bios and reset the bios just to the out of the box settings to be safe. From here, the board would arbitrarily allow me to access the Bios while booting (about every 3rd to 6th restart it would show the screen saying "press f2 or delete to access Bios"). Was completely random whether it would let me access the bios. Disabling fast boot, changing numerous other settings, switching from HDMI to DVI or VGA had no effect (and I was using a PC monitor, not a TV). Also tried shift clicking restart in windows and selecting the boot into Bios option. No luck. Very frustrating when you're in the middle of trying to overclock.Switched the RAM for a known working set just to make sure RAM wasn't the issue. No change (also no OC on this ram). Also started noticing that overclocks for the CPU/APU weren't applying anymore (even though to bios was saving the OC settings, but in Windows CPU-Z should the OC was not applied). So the two big issues were it wouldn't allow me to access the bios on boot up and that it wouldn't apply overclock settings (even safe ones that had worked on it before I tried overclocking the ram). Obviously something buggy about it, but doesn't appear to be any update since the one in January. This Asus board appears to be a poorly supported board by Asus, and I doubt they care too much about this board. Would probably be an okay board if you don't plan on overclocking. Will be getting an ASRock Pro4 board that looks to be much better quality for the same price, better Ram support, as well as more frequent Bios updates.

buena tarjeta madre

Make sure to first try to boot with 1 stick of RAM!
Note: If you buy from Amazon vendor, it will be updated to BIOS version 3803, which is compatible with Ryzen 2000 CPU/APUs. There will be a sticker on the box that indicates "AMD RYZEN DESKTOP 2000 READY". If not, then you will have to order a boot kit from AMD or use an older CPU to update the BIOS for it to work with 2nd gen processors.Pretty good motherboard, but I had some trouble initially getting it to POST (no display, no beeps). I needed to boot with only one stick of RAM. My memory was a 2x8GB Corsair 3000 MHz. After putting the memory in the A slot (closest to CPU), it was able to boot. I then needed to set the D.O.C.P. setting to Profile #1, which applies the XMP profile. After that I was able to boot with 2 sticks of RAM.

Great budget board
Have used this board multiple times and it has yet to let me down. Great value for your money - works great for office and home computers that don't need fancy video card support or always on stressable components.
