The tape is strong, sticks well, and gives me confidence that my packages will stay securely sealed during transit. The tape dispenser is just as useful as the tape itself. One of my favorite features is that it keeps the end of the tape from sticking back onto the roll, which saves time and frustration when packing multiple boxes. It’s also very easy to replace the tape roll once you run out, so you can get back to packing quickly without struggling with the dispenser. Overall, this is a reliable packing tape and applicator that makes the shipping process much easier. If so, how easy is it to refill?** A: Not really. These are the same size as the regular shipping tape, only stronger. I don't think it would even be cost effective. They all come with this dispenser. I say no. **Q: I noticed the description says 27yds which is the size I need to replace, but on the picture of the roll it says 22yds. Which size did you receive?** A: my order of tape from 2013 was for 1000 inches which equals 27.77 yds. This picture shows 800 inches which equals 22.22 yds. So I would think you should order 1000 inch roll if they still have that size or another brand to get the length you need. **Q: What is the internal diameter of the tape roll used? Thanks :)** A: 1.88 in. x 1000 in. (22.7 yd.)48mm v 25.4m **Q: Why isn't there tan or brown tape available? It covers bar codes etc. I prefer it to clear but can't find it anymore.** A: If you search "Scotch shipping tape brown" [here on Amazon] you will find their tan and brown tapes pop up in the results. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Gold Standard for Heavy-Duty Packing Tape! *by P***. on August 16, 2026* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Gold Standard for Heavy-Duty Packing Tape! Ok...It's awesome! *by X***O on May 10, 2026* I highly recommend this Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Tape because apparently this stuff was engineered using military-grade determination and the tears of defeated cardboard boxes. Once this tape sticks to something, that object has officially entered a long-term committed relationship. Seriously, this tape means business. I used it for shipping boxes, storage bins, moving supplies, and one package that honestly looked like it survived re-entry from space after I sealed it with this stuff. Nothing came loose. Nothing peeled up. The tape held like it had personal goals and a strong work ethic. The clear finish looks clean and professional, and the roll pulls smoothly without instantly turning into a tangled rage spiral like cheaper packing tapes tend to do. It also cuts cleanly and applies evenly without bubbling or wrinkling itself into modern art. One unexpected side effect: once you start using good packing tape, you become irrationally judgmental of weak tape. Suddenly you’re at someone else’s house silently thinking, “This box would never survive with that bargain-bin nonsense.” Whether you’re shipping packages, moving, storing holiday decorations, or trying to secure a box full of mystery cables nobody wants to throw away, this tape gets the job done flawlessly. Highly recommend. Strong, reliable, easy to use, and probably capable of holding civilization together if necessary. ## Frequently Bought Together - Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape, 1.88" x 27.7 yd, Great for Packing, Shipping & Moving, Clear, 1 Dispensered Roll (142L) - BOX USA Moving Boxes Medium 18"L x 14"W x 12"H 10-Pack | Corrugated Cardboard Box for Shipping, Mailing, Packing, Packaging and Storage 18x14x12 - Duck Brand Small Bubble Cushioning Wrap for Moving & Shipping - 175 FT Bubble Packing Wrap for Extra Protection Packaging Boxes & Mailers - Clear Bubble Roll Moving Supplies, Perforated Every 12 IN --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/4708537-scotch-heavy-duty-packing-tape-1-88-in-x-27](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/4708537-scotch-heavy-duty-packing-tape-1-88-in-x-27) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
