If you're buying this for fun, it's great. But don't buy it expecting reliability or durability. Shop Elsewhere. I paid full price and It has broken 3 times within 5 months! The left wheel just died out of nowhere, but they replaced it for free and i got it back a month later. Then withing a month, the thing got water damage from a mildly damp road, cost me $260 to fix the dead thing! After a month of repairing, i got it back, only to have the right wheel randomly die. I am absolutely furious and would never recommend you spend any amount of money here at acton.

Acton Customer Service and lack of water proofing are the failures of this board. My board randomly stopped working. It will not shut off. Lights are not working either. After submitting a service request, Acton customer service took 3 days to ask me if I rode through water (no BTW) and I'm still waiting for a response to my answer. 6 days total and nothing from Acton but a question. Even if i did go through water, respond to your emails and lets move forward with the service request. I had to send the board in for evaluation and repair. $60 ground shipping (ouch). I have no idea what went wrong with the board but it was sent back to me in a couple of days since when they received it with no explanation. When I packaged it up to send back, I had to disconnect the battery because it wouldn't stop beeping to warn of low battery. I noticed a severe lack of waterproofing. No silicone, no rubber gasket. Nothing. I'll add a little rtv silicone when I get a chance just in case the occasional puddle can't be avoided. But they have the nerve to charge customers for a water damage repair when they don't do the minimum to prevent water from getting to the electronics. I got the board back after a couple of weeks and it doesn't work. The antenna or something is screwed up now. The board is pure trash. It threw me off. Doesn't respond correctly to the controller. WHAT A WASTE. I CAN'T SEND THIS THING BACK AND PAY ANOTHER $60 shipping OUT OF MY POCKET FOR THEIR FAILURES. Customer service so far...non existent. They don't respond to emails. This is not a legit business.....Not Cool Acton. Board was good for the first month or so.

The good: This board has impressive build quality and does look really nice. The app is okay. On flat concrete surfaces (like a parking garage) it is quiet, responsive, has a lot of power, the brake works well and it's fun to ride.The ugly: the board is heavier than it looks at 15lbs, there's a lot of metal here. The remote is poorly made and doesn't inspire confidence. The tapered tail of the deck isn't usable in a wider stance to help with stability at speed.The bad: the hard wheels and stiff board (with absolutely no flex) transmits all the vibration from the road directly to your feet and ankles. This vibration is uncomfortable and makes a lot of noise on rough asphalt, uneven concrete or brick paths - to the point that I can't even consider using it around town or on my commute. Acton's upcoming higher-end Qu4tro board supposedly has suspension trucks, but those are urgently needed on this model too.This board is good for what it is, and I had high expectations when I purchased it. But it has enough problems that it falls far short of the advertised ability to "crush" my commute, I ended up returning it.

UPDATE::::: I was just 2 miles out on a ride and the board just died. Dead. I walked all the way home. Just to make sure, I plugged it in and the light on the charger is staying green (supposed to be red when OK and charging.) I love this board and I hope ACTON will step up and fix the problems.(My original review after having it a few weeks.....)There are a lot of electric boards on the market, and I am sure many of them are terrific.This one is AMAZING. I am 190 pounds and have been skateboarding for a long time. I am a cruiser. No tricks. I just go downhill and back and forth. Pushing on the flats is great exercise, but I want to cruise, not push.I bought this because a friend of mine has one of these Acton Blink S2s and loves it. He also has 5 other boards. He almost always rides this one. I tried his and fell in love with it. I also tried his Evolve and it was really stiff and very twitchy on the throttle. Too powerful for me. And for him too. Last week he went to hit the brakes and they came on SO hard that he wiped out and broke three bones.I have had the Acton S2 for three weeks now and LOVE it. The build quality is great, It is rather stiff, but that's an OK trade off for how smooth it is. It is very fast, but is great in "normal" mode. Pro mode simply flies!!!. It seems to last way longer than my feet can. Two solid hours up and down hills and it still shows 1/2 battery. I LOVE this board. Smoooooth

This board, Acton S2, was $600.00 for about 3-6 months. Now they want $749.00 for a board with NO FLEX??? No way. The major problem with ALL Acton boards is they don’t flex.

The board was really good till I hit like 150 miles then it broke down and then they wanted me to pay 200$ to repair it so my advice is don’t buy it,

Great for riding around town and on paved bike trails. I’m loving my action board.

This is the perfect board to get around town. The power/speed is easy to adjust to and now I can’t put the board down.

This board is really fun. I’m a pretty heavy guy and this board can handle my weight no problem, and when it dies I can still kick push the board unlike the belt driven boards...

Holy smokes. I had no idea a product of this calibre existed. I figured "Oh, battery-powered skateboard. A toy." While it is fun too, it's performance is outstanding.
