These shower curtain rings are disappointing. They are meant to be stainless steel / rust-resistant for the obvious reason that they're meant to be used in the shower. They rusted within months!

We've had these rings for over a year and they are not stainless steel at all. Manufacture is mislabeling the product. We have a bona-fide, US made, solid, stainless steel shower rod (not a big box cheap one) from a high-end manufacturer due to the width of our walk-in shower as we could not use an expandable rod. Therefore, there are no metal-to-metal reactions to blame- these rings are flat out falsely advertised as stainless. Plus, there is no such thing as 'stainless steel coating'- stainless steel is not a 'coating' that's applied, it is a base, solid metal on it's own. I took a hacksaw and cut one of the rings and sure enough- some crappy, cheap core copper-looking metal has been coated with nickel or a dull chrome and advertised as 'stainless steel'. Amazon should put this seller on the carpet about this.

Inexpensive product, cheap results. Don't bother with this cheap and flimsy bit of "metal" you're better off shelling out for something of high quality, don't think I'll be purchasing bathroom hardware from Amazon or online at all after this and several other low quality purchases. I don't expect this hardware to last even a year of use. The ring is not complete, is held in place with low quality plastic stoppers, the metal itself could be bent by a toddlers hands.Save your money, even if you're a flipper this product does not even look good in person.

I would really like to give this product 5 stars, because it is the best product I could find, for the money. My wife and I are picky about the shower curtain holder. Every shower curtain hook that I've used falls off when you open and close the curtain, which is ridiculous. Who wants to have to re-hang the hooks every time you shower? Roller ball loops look really cheap to me, and look like they belong in a hotel room. So this was the option we came up with. It has a nice clean feel and is very simple. Not too much that can go wrong. And it's not going to fall off.My biggest disappointment with this product is the installation. Our curtain rod is hung about 7 1/2' high, and inevitably, the curtain does have to be washed. Taking the curtain off, ring by ring, and putting the clean one on, is quite literally a "pain in the neck." I know there are easier options for getting a curtain on and off, especially if your curtain hangs high.That being said, I would only remove 1 star for installation. The rings are still working fine and in good condition, and have a good minimalist look to them.

Inconsistent quality among the set of rings - some are perfect (open and close well and securely), others are not (don't align when closed or the hinge doesn't open and close without sticking). Also, they don't glide well over my curtain rod, especially over the "bump" where the rod's tubes extend. At that point, some of the rings that are problematic (e.g. the ones that are misaligned and don't catch to close or are stuck open to C shape because the hinge doesn't close) pop off the rod and curtain altogether. Every time I slide the curtain open/closed, a ring gets caught on the rod's bump and falls off. I'm tired of putting a ring back on EVERY DAY. I recently replaced these with an oval style ring that has gliders - these look just as minimal, stay shut, and glide easily over the rod's bump.

Very easy to install however some take a bit of force to open all of the way to get around the curtain rod. I’m happy with the purchase. After about 2 weeks of hot showers from 2 ppl (we bathe morning & night) there are no signs of rust so am hopeful for the future. Will update if and when rust occurs. The color is as shown so that was great. They are exactly as described.

Would not really recommend, except for those times when you need something temporary and inexpensive to get you by. They do appear to be solid metal, at least, although cheap & thin metal. The paint hasn't worn off on mine after a few months. The clasps are not heavy duty or well made, and a couple have opened up on their own somehow. The hinges are weak and fragile. But the hinges won't be used often - just to put them on for the first time, and to take them off when you throw them away.

I wanted something bronze to hang a bronze towel rack off a rail instead of using the provided screws through the screw holes. I was a little dubious after reading some of the reviews, but forged ahead, as these looked like a perfect match, & most likely to work compared to S hooks that would require a more exact fit for rail and screw holes. These turned out to be absolutely perfect! They open easily, close easily & securely, the match indeed was perfect. I am so pleased!
