Review: Looking for Quality Sound, you found it. - I run these in a 2009 Mazda RX 8 paired with Infinity 60CSX series and these thing sound incredible. They are powered by Alpine PDX Amps and I put these thing trough the ringer. I have had them for 5 years now and they just keep going. I do a lot of driving and will spend 6 hours or more on a trip and all that time I have the Stereo cranked. Cranked so much that my Alpine sub Amp will get too hot and it turns off for about 15-20 minutes. I would say the longest drive I have made with these is 9 hours with the stereo on for almost all of that time except to get gas or something. They are very crisp and clean sounding speakers. I am impressed with these and they are what I will put in my other car.
Review: Easy install in 2016 F150 XLT - Replaced the front door speakers in my 2016 F150 XLT. Sounds much better. They aren’t going to blow you away, but you will be very happy with the improvement over the factory speakers. The factory speakers are molded into a plastic mount frame which includes a disconnect plug on the F150. I cut the old speakers away to save the mount ring, screwed the new ones to the old ring, soldered the wires from the old ring to the new speaker, screwed the mount (w the speaker) back to the door, and used the existing plug on the old mount to plug them back in. They are much bigger (height/depth) than the old ones but there is plenty of room. Worth every penny if your looking for a big improvement without spending a ton of money on a big dollar system.

A: For me, I still hear the voices in my head.

**Q: Fit in 2017 ram 1500 crew cab front and back doors?**
A: They will fit in the back door. You may run into mounting depth issues with the front. 

Also.. it's pointless to put 3 way speakers in the front doors of the Ram. Either do 2 way coax or get component for the front and drop the tweeters in the 3.5" dash speaker holes (there's straps to mount tweeters in these 3.5" holes). 

I don't care what other reviewers say about these speakers. Kappas are THE BEST speakers for replacing your factory speakers, using the factory wiring AND an aftermarket stereo.. with no amplifier. 

Throw an amp on them? Give them a little juice and you're not gonna have to worry about subwoofers.

What I did in my Ram.. since the dash speakers are very pronounced and the Ram is not at all lacking when it comes to highs.. I left my dash speakers alone and didn't worry about component speakers for the front doors. 

I ran kappa 3 way 6x9's in the front doors (I bought them before I knew there's no signal doing to the front doors for highs and is bass only.. or else would've gotten coax). If you don't use a spacer that clears the door frame enough.. the speaker's cage surrounding the magnet will not fit through the opening. It will hit right around where the terminals are. 

After seeing what a pain in the ass it was to make the 6x9's fit in the front doors, I bought a pair of kappa 3 way 6.5" for the two rear doors. 

They can get extremely loud without distorting and without an amp. They're crisp and great. If you want bass that blows your pantlegs around and makes your ear drums bleed, then just run some 12-14 gauge speaker wire to them from an aftermarket amp and they'll do that.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for Harley speaker lids

I added these to my speaker lids and also added the 62IX to my fairing in an 09 Electra Glide. I have them hooked up to a Kenwood KAC-M3004. I chose to bridge the amp and the speakers play loud and clear. They sounded ok when the amp was not bridged but really shined when fed more power. These speakers want power so if you have a decent amp they can and will get loud. They are 2.5 ohm speakers and have a 96db rating so they play fairly loud when compared to 4 ohm speakers, due to the lower resistance the amp can send more power to the speakers.
