HP exact replacement part. High quality
Universal power supplies are ok for some laptops, however HP power supplies are "smart power supplies" that are detected by the HP laptop. If you use a universal power supply, you will not be able to charge while using the laptop and can only charge when the laptop is powered down. I highly recommend the HP power supply for larger laptops.

Well Worth the Cost
This Power Supply arrived on time and as described.Earlier, I ordered a replacement Power Supply from another seller, which was supposed to be compatible with my HPdv7t computer, but triggered an error message and caused the laptop to run in a reduced capacity.This Power Supply was more expensive, but completely compatible with my HPdv7t laptop and it now runs just as it did on the original power supply. Beware of the cheap stuff. I am very happy with this purchase.

Well built HP original equipment, can't go wrong...
Original HP charger. I've tried other less expensive generic non-HP chargers over the years and they seem to last about a year. I've given up on buying generic replacement chargers. I know they are more money but the HP ones just keep working.I ordered this to have a second one around for home and office...
