I was looking for a replacement for the power adapter of my Samsung QX410-J01. The power adapter that came with my laptop stopped working after my son bent the metal jack. I tried using the adapter of my wife's Samsung NC10 netbook but I it seems like its not charging my laptop properly when you are using it at the same time (flickering red and green light). So I decided to shop around for a replacement adapter. I first checked the Samsung website and found the AA-PA1N90W which costs $79.99. Then I checked Amazon and found this adapter for only $24.90. I asked my friend if it's ok to use a non-factory issued adapter. I was afraid that a non-factory issued adapter will do some damage on your battery. He told me that usually if you buy a warranty from Best Buy for parts replacement (Geek Squad?), they will just replace your defective adapter with a generic one. I decided to try this one because of the big difference in the cost. It's been a month now since I first use this product and I don't have any complains. It's been able to do what it is suppose to do which is charging my laptop.

The original adapter for my Samsung R780 laptop partially melted and stopped working properly after more than a year of heavy use. I found this Pwr+ adapter in Amazon.com for a great price, so I bought one. It worked fine at first. But after about a month of heavy use, the rubber part melted and the adapter stopped functioning well. Eventually, the metal part came off the rubber part. The adapter became unusable.I still couldn't find a better deal for an adapter, so I just bought another Pwr+ adapter. Maybe I should make sure not to leave the laptop overheated for long.Updated August 6, 2012:I got my laptop fixed. The problem was a worn out power jack. The PWR+ adapter works fine if you don't pull on it to use with a broken, overheated power jack.

I have a Samsung R580 laptop that was in need of a new power supply cord. I had previously purchased a cheap version via Amazon and the item overheated and failed after a few weeks of normal use. I foolishly gambled on the same item again, hoping I had just a bit of bad luck the first time around. The second item failed within an hour of use. After realizing a universal adapter unit would not work, I tried this item as a last ditch effort to make my laptop viable again. I am happy to say that it has done exactly that. The item came on time, and after almost a month of use has worked as expected. I can use for hours without issue. The length of the cord has also proven to be a useful feature. I only wished I had started with this item and had saved a few bucks.

I've used the cable for my Samsung R780 for over a month now and it is still working well. I use it most often with a power inverter (12v to 110v), but I've also used it with a 220v grid and it's worked well every time with no noticeable interruption or audible feedback (something my OEM did until it failed, I'm assuming because if the power inverter). As others have said, it doesn't fit completely flush with the power input jack on my laptop (the metal connector is longer, and is exposed for maybe 1cm), but in my usage so far, including moving it around while plugged in, that has caused no problems, no slipping or coming out or anything else. I also really appreciate the longer length compared to the original. It does seem lighter and possibly flimsier than the original, but in performance so far, that has caused no problems at all. I believe it's a quality product and worth the price.

This product has worked well for the time i've been using it (being used for a samsung R-580). The only potential issue is when the computer is drawing is maximum load, the charger heats up to a high degree. Standard use has the power brick warm to the touch, which is to be expected. The length of the cord is great and has served me well.Edit: After 6 months of use the glue holding the two sides of the case together has cracked, and the casing itself has broken. During a trip to a convention I lost use of my laptop temporarily because when I pulled the cord out of an outlet, the ground pole came with it. Right now the power cord is iffy because it has to be at a certain angle to supply power to the laptop.

My computer is under warrenty with a major store. They sent me an inferior power cord...it kept coming out of my computer. I decided to look for a power source that was at least dependable. I found it at this amazon site. It came in an appropriate time and IT WORKS...it doesn't come out of the computer. I am happy!!! Samsung is notorious in making their own brand of accessories...and companies are notorious for trying to go cheap on the after market items....so it is a pleasure to find someone who understands what I need as a consumer and doesn't just pass off any old oem accessory.

Bought this because it says it works my laptop and wouldn't you know it, it does! The cord is very long. Unfortunately, the plug is a bit longer than the port on my laptop, there is a tiny bit of exposed contact but I would have to firmly press my finger into it to actually touch it given how close it is and to me, that's a success for this product.Specifically, my laptop is a Samsung Series 7 NP700Z5B-S01UB and it works great. It gets a little hot, but I don't see it as being an issue. Charging time is on par with what the stock adapter is, and it keeps the laptop at 100 percent charge when in use.I bought this product so I could leave one at the office and I'll be looking primarily for Pwr+ products in the future when I need this kind of thing. Highly recommended from my personal experience.

Item is as described with the extra long cord. Problem is that this might be what caused the end of the cord the plugs into the wall to short out about an inch up from the plug. There was a break in the inner strand of wire and this caused the cord to not work a few weeks after I started using it. I cut the cord farther up and replaced the plug part with another from a electrical supply store and now the product works fine.
