Review: Does what it says - I smashed my cooker by kneeling on it when decorating so needed a quick fix and this not only came just before it was time to cook but it is a great little temporary fixture. It goes VERY hot but takes a moment to cool down. So just be mindful of that when cooking and wanting to turn heat down to simmer. But I took my food off the hob and just put it back on low a few minutes later (problem solved) As mentioned. Great little thing. I previously had one for camping but sold it. I prefer this one to the one I had for ages. So will take this along to camping too. Thank you

**Q: how does this connect to the mains please?**
A: It connects by a electric  flex and a three pronged plugIt heats up well & is very good for the price

**Q: What are the tempertures of the five options ?**
A: Hi  It is not possible to provide a temperature for any solid hot plate? If you use an extension lead then make sure  you have one with the proper fuse otherwise it may not work.  Once plugged in and switched on the light comes on and goes out when the hot plate has reached the temperature set on the dial.

**Q: Do aluminium pans/pressure cookers work with this? I found out aluminium pans do not work with ceramic induction hobs. I will use this as alternative**
A: Yes they do work with older styles of pan. This is a solid plate electric hob.

**Q: Is it good for cooking potatoes**
A: Yes good all round cooking hot plate. Though as with all cooking ,need to keep an eye on pots overboiling.

Brought 2 of these now, gave it a second try as thought I might of been unlucky with the first one, after a month of usage just like the first one it’s died, these are very cheaply made and don’t last long, wish I had of read the other reviews before buying ,
