Initially wanted one for general repairs/cricket kit alterations as doing it by hand was too labour intensive. But when the covid struck it was perfect for mask making. I never sewn in my life before and now I can churn stuff easily. This machine is do intuitive and very affordable. Love it Review: after a week of use - lovely - it is a very good sewing machine, well worth the money. I debated weter I should get a new one or just get a used one for a fraction of the price. but considering the 3-year warranty, the peace of mind that everything will be working, and if anything DOES stop after 3 years, its a relatively new machine so parts are easily available online. and it's a brother so its trustworthy. This is a great machine for a beginner and is very easy to use, we offer free tuition in store and if you require any more help please do not hesitate to contact us.RegardsSew Devine **Q: Does it have a reverse stitch?** A: This was given as a gift but im sure it has reverse stitch. I wouldnt have purchased a machine that didnt have one. **Q: Does it come with a overlocker** A: No it doesn't come with an overlock (type) foot. It is possible to secure raw edges using a zig-zag stitch that places one stitch in the fabric and the alternating stitch just over the edge of the fabric. I use this where I do not want bulky hems but want to stop fraying after first stistching the seam with a straight stitch. It is described in the manual and on YouTube videos. It is possible to buy a foot that will allow you to zig-zag and cut the fabric edge in one step. There are plenty of sellers on eBay. Videos showing how this wires are also on YouTube. This is probably as near to overlooking as you will get on a machine at this level. For true overlooking it is best to purchase a dedicated machine.....but don't rush into it if you are just starting out. There are lots of ways of creating neat edges without fraying and without the need to spend money on an overlocker that may not get used as much as you anticipate. **Q: Does anyone know if there's an overlock foot available for this machine?** A: Hi, Sorry the foot is not with the machine, please click on the following link if you want to purchase one.http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003I5YKHIRegardsGUR Sewing Machies ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it *by M***R on 17 September 2020* Complete beginner.
